Apart from a select few (you know who you are), we are all pretty much in agreement that Sherwood is an odious cretin with little in way of redeeming features.

That being said, this season has been a complete PR disaster for the club and I for one am extremely intrigued in how Levy spins this one in his annual appraisal.

Honestly, a complete fucking horlicks of a season and the sooner we see the back of it, the better!

I mean, it's not like he's ever had a bad word to say about the club or its management before ...

POT. KETTLE. BLACK.

People obviously don't remember how he left the club and what he said to the media about Spurs and about the management. This is why I have a fucking problem with the man - because I literally don't know what to believe when he speaks.

Thanks for digging out those articles. That should silence the Dimitrists who deny he's been the cause of many of the clubs problems, particularly with our managers and coaches.

I think the biggest problem with the Sherwood appointment was that he does not have the affinity from the club he clearly feels he should have. He was never the greatest player, but plenty of average players have become legends at the club through sheer blood and graft. Sherwood, for me was never a "Spurs" player and hadn't earned the respect from the stands to justify the appointment. Giggs, Shearer et al were genuine legends with their clubs before getting a shot at the managers job, earning the right to manage their club by devotion to the club over years. Sherwood for me simply did not deserve the chance, and was never going to get the backing of the fans.

I was reading an interview with Ledley last week (think it was in the Standard) where he said he wanted to give management a try and would love to manage Spurs one day (though he admitted it was unlikely.)

For me, this was a missed opportunity by the club. If we were going to give a complete novice a shot at managing the job I really think we should have given the job to Ledley.

He is a true legend and has real love from the fans for his loyalty to the club. Ledley could have lost every game for the remainder of the season but he would still have had the support from the fans because he has earned his place in the clubs history. I honestly think Ledley could get us relegated and I would still love him!

Sherwood was just a player that happened to play for Spurs for a while, and is not and never will be an important part of our history (except now he is going to be the punchline of every joke whenever we get a new manager.)

Reading those quotes and remembering quite how much of a **** he is has just wound me up compeltely. Disgusting. I hope he doesn't get another job in football.

Unless it's Arsenal.

The problem is that while the long serving fans remember how much of a prick he was back then, it is the media that are really starting to question how the club are treating Tim. It is articles like this that need to be dredged up in public for all to see rather than just on a fans forum. Only today Lineker was tweeting about how disrespectful we are treating him, yet not a mention of how he has behaved either now or in the past.

Like BC, I have no doubt the 18 month contract was a built in golden hand shake - its not like he was offered a huge contract etc. Barring a miracle, we were never keeping him beyond this season.

But what absolutely astonishes me is why we've havn't had more of a leash on him in terms of what he's been saying in interviews. We obviously don't know the precise extent of the damage, but its fair to say its not a happy camp bar Adebayor who's clearly prepared to hail him the next messiah. Tim gave him his chance, he rewarded him - fair enough. Lately though he's still getting picked when the effort levels have fallen way off. I'd love that sort of loyalty from my boss to, promote him I'd say.

Tim would of been a hell of a lot better off had he acted with some class and dignity acknowledging that he has much to learn and he's very new to this level of football management, and stopped pointing to the best record of this and best record of that when he's only been here a few months. And lets be honest, whilst we've scored a few more goals we've resembled a real mess, more often than not, out on the pitch with no discernible game plan at all.

We've been left with a couple of free spirits at the top end of the pitch, turning it on when they're in the mood, a midfield in nearly every single game that looks confused, light weight and offering little protection to Lloris and the back four.

Win record at this stage or not, if Sherwood can't see that over the long run this lack of management, in several facets, would see us (and him in terms of his record talk) fall into decline he's even more naive and disillusioned than I initially thought.

I hope the rumours saying we've offered Mihajlovic the job are boll*cks.

I have no idea why we're even letting him talk to the press any more.

I said a few weeks back that we should sack him because he might do more damage even in that short period of time. In terms of public image he's certainly doing just that.

The daft thing is that Sherwood must have known he was only there for 5 months, and yet he's acting as if the whole thing is a big surprise and that he is being treated massively unfairly.

The only plus side for me is that in acting like a complete tool, Sherwood has hopefully signed his own death warrant for any job at the club and not just the manager's job.

Bye bye Tim. I really really won't miss you...and I haven't thought that about any Spurs manager for a long time.

Its very strange isn't it? Remember his good bye Charlie remark at the start - which he later denied to Gary Neville on MNF :ROFLMAO:. Anyway, that was a clear a sign as you could get in terms of him knowing how slim his chances were of being in the job next season.

I just can't understand why he went to so much bother to act as a destructively as he has. Surely he recognises it will put potential employers off, but then again I guess that's why he's going on about his record every three seconds as well.

I think, fundamentally, he's just a bit of a penis.

I think he'd fit in well at west ham, his scuffed up approach is more their bag than ours.
No more bad eggs please Daniel. Only genuine legends or players with winning mentalities. Just listening to gary Neville and Paul scholes speak they ooze winning mentalities and who do we have les bloody Ferdinand.

Jaap stam might be more what I'm talking about having worked under ferguson at utd, another perk to fdb.

Wow Tim just doesn't shut up does he. What club is going to want to employ such a poisonous idiot as its manager? Plus given that Daniel Levy has known TS for quite a few years now, how the hell did he not realize what a fool he is - yeah okay he might of turned out to be a good / terrible manager, but surely you know if somebody is a knob or not. I think there's a good possibility that Levy isn't a very good judge of character
