I sometimes think there should be a filter for people who post stuff in the heat of the game.
We were well beaten by a better team, better drilled with better players.
Little to do with formations IMO.

OH JUST STOP ALREADY!
it's not in the heat of the moment, almost all new coaches have a great run(with the exception of some awful coaches)
i already knew he would have a big group of people supporting him no matter what he does!
it's not in the heat of the moment, that's typical response i expected.
i've been against his appointment since it was rumoured!

Again Really? Maybe against 2 or 3 of the other tactically inept teams in the league

So games are actually won by tactics and teams below us are managed by tactically inept coaches and teams above tactically adept?

Perhaps we should stop buying players as it's not about your squad, it's all about tactics, tactics, tactics. Danny boy, get yourself best tactical coach there is and nothing can stop the silverware. Oh, what a marvel.

No but it goes a bloody long way. It's about finding a balance between tactics, players, motivation, preparation. To be successful the manager needs all of those and frankly Tim hasn't shown us any evidence on a couple of them.

Apparently Tracksuit Tim said they didn't overrun us in midfield today? What? They were running through us like we were a giant Swiss cheese.

the guy has absolutely No clue, his post-match comments come off as abrasive and rash
and under-thought out, he's so out of his depth it's unreal

the honeymoon periods over now,

sad thing he is, Sherwood gets a free pass win/lose or draw he needs 'time'
let Sherwood havea free 6 months to learn on the job! yay
let's make it all about tim sherwood and less about spurs!
We should all happily accept 7-8th place! as long as Sherwood gains experience!

no badges
no tactical clue
no experience
god help us!

like another poster said 'counting down the days until the summer'.

I was against this hiring from the onset. Thought it pretty much proved some very troubling things that were rumored during the AVB regime that I will not get into again since it is a waste of time. All I will say is that the club seems to be going to great lengths and leaking things to disprove it by damaging AVB even more. Shameful from the club.

Honestly, todays match told me all I needed to know really. Awful from the on set. Tactically, formation and team. We saw zero adjustments, and then Sherwood gave up after the 2nd goal. He didnt even try anything. When Walcott came off injured and Arsenal went down to 10 men, Sherwood didnt even do anything. At that point, he should have went for it. He had nothing to lose. He only made one fucking sub today, and it was the wrong one. Bentaleb should have never started this game. He has shown way too much faith in the youth, and today pretty much proved that he has a hard on for Bentaleb. Bentaleb was absolutely terrible today from the on set. Should have came off at half, but played all 90. Just absolutely boneheaded.

When they showed Sherwood on the TV, it brought me back to AVB during his last match. Dejected, and just looked like he had given up. Except Sherwood was given a great opportunity to change it all and was given an opportunity to instill confidence and inspire, something AVB didnt have during his last match. Except Sherwood did jack shit. Sherwood's actions, or lack there of, can ripple down through the entire club and the fan base. He was absolutely clueless today from the very beginning. He is in wayyyyy over his head as the manager of a PL club as his first managerial opportunity and today made it abundantly clear. If it was true that he was offered the job before AVB was hired like some ITK said the other day, it does not exaclty make one feel good about the front office. Levy wanted his friend in from the beginning after Harry and now he finally got him in. Not exactly what one wants to know and pretty much destroyed my confidence is Daniel.

It was tactically very naive again today, i'm still too frustrated at that extremely poor performance from management and players alike to put anything more analytical than that. Whether you want to give Sherwood time or you think he should be nowhere near the club- you cannot deny that since he took over at Spurs he has shown plenty of naivety in both his team selections, formations and style of pay. Lets hope he learns quickly from today and thrash Palace at the weekend. Coys.

No but it goes a bloody long way.

Actually it doesn't - it's about getting best possible players in, getting best out of them and getting them play as a team. Rest is fine tuning. Give Steve Kean his selection of 18 players in the world and his Messis and Ronaldos beat shit out of current WBA side managed by any tactical mastermind in the world 9 times out of 10.

We played tonight against a better side on a better form with more fresh legs on their home turf and that side was well up for it. It's bit far fetched that some magical tactical choices would've tipped scale drastically tonight.

He's had 2 weeks to train the team. In that time he's had a shitload of games.

Wenger has had years to install his ethos on the team.

But yes sherwood hasn't a clue.

Give him till the end of the season ffs. If he's not good enough then get the best manager we can. If he is, keep him.

Meh stuck with him now so no point bitching I guess - but tbh he has a bunch of 6th place rated players that he needs to get into the CL , don't fancy his chances much

Oh my fucking god. 6th place players? FFS. The talent we have should be enough to get 4th place on paper and even better once all settled and bedded in.

If I was Sherwood I'd sit in the stands for the next few games and just communicate his instructions down to Les.

He needs to see what's happening.
