Shake it all about

Ahhh, the old Spursey-kokey, what a song! And don't we just love playing it every season.

You put the the VB in, the VB out,
In out, in out,
Shake it all about,
You do the spursey kokey and you turn around,
That's what we're all about!

Altogether now...

Oooooohhhhh the spursey cokey,
Ooooooooohhhhhhh the spursey cokey,
Oooooooohhhhh the spursey cokey,
Coach in, coach out ra ra ra!

You put the Sherwood in, the Sherwood out,
In out, in out,
Shake it all about
You do the spursey kokey and you turn around,
That's what we're all about!

Oooooohhhhh the spursey cokey,
Ooooooooohhhhhhh the spursey cokey,
Oooooooohhhhh the spursey cokey,
Coach in, coach out ra ra ra!

You put the Van Gaal in, the Van Gaal out....

If Tim wins his last 5 matches we'll see how quick people's opinions will change in his favour such is the fickleness.

There is definitely fickleness from some fans but I don't think that there is very much anything that could be done to persuade the vehemently anti-Sherwood element (of which there are many) that he should keep his job.

If Sherwood wins the next 5 matches, my opinion will not change, I will still think he is out of his depth. If we win the 5 matches then we should get 5th which is creditable, if Levy were to sack him just for coming 5th that wouldn't be fair.

I think the Stoke away game will tell us a lot about Tim's credentials to be a top manager - although not with us I might add, I doubt he was ever going to get the job full time - he is a glorified caretaker, more a 'Facilities and Waste Disposal Manager'. I fully expect us to win all, bar maybe West Ham. Stoke are tricky at the moment, and will provide a stern tactical test for him.

If he wins the last 5 games it will be good, but nothing startling considering the opposition.

None of the top 4 would expect much less than winning all 5 games so that should be our aim to.

Even if we humped all 5 teams, it doesn't excuse the performances against the big teams, where we have been comprehensively outplayed 99% of the time.

I hope Sherwood does pick up some wins though as it'll help him going forwards. He doesn't deserve to have his managerial career ended quite so quickly.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy did a massive U-Turn last night when he offered Tim Sherwood an improved 3 year deal. This comes after Sherwood masterminded a run of six wins to round off what had been a turbulent season in style.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy felt he had to move quickly to fend off interest from Barcelona and this news is not going to go down to well at the Nou Camp who at one stage were certain they'd got their man, with Marca showing a computer enhanced photo of Sherwood holding a Barca shirt under the heading "El Giletico'.

Louis Van Gaal wasn't too happy either, offering several Dutch journalists his testicles and saying "you can tell that **** on Shpursh Communiteee, that **** Ay and Shee to fuckoff. The job ish mine.

Basically this sums it up well. His tactic of just out-gunning the teams worse than us has worked pretty well, and we could win these last 5 games, its not out of the question. He doesn't have any games left though against the top teams where a different approach was needed, the evidence wasn't great and he has no more games to show anything different.

He had 5 months to show, in my opinion, that he was savvy enough tactically. It was a tough ask to be fair and he needed a miracle, and lo and behold he hasn't quite managed it. All he had to do was marry the effective (though not always convincing) approach of out-gunning the weaker teams with a bit more pragmatism and control of the tougher games, but he didn't (bar the Chelsea game somewhat, to be fair).

It's not very likely, but if we won the last five games, impressed while doing it (not scraping through), and got 4th, would people really still want him gone?

Agreed, the more interesting conundrum would be if we were to win them in style!

Yes.

Rafa won the uefa cup with chelsea, di mateo the CL and they still replaced them. It's what successful business's do, If LVG is available it's a no brainer regardless of the next few games or where we finish. You say thanks tim, give him a drink no doubt and move onwards and upwards.

Winning in style against low table opposition won't convince me of anything. Continued, successive dickings at the hands of teams above and around us has convinced me he's not right for us at all.
