Sherwood has been blessed... never deserved this role and certainly doesnt deserve another in the PL or championship for at least a couple of years..... needs more experience. His quickest avenue back is to aim for a B team role, just hope its not with us.

Got the impression last night that he knew he'd lost his job.

Looked grumpy all evening, was barely mentioned, and is in barely any of the photos from last night

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with the West Brom job.

I'd be amazed if he did, their board should be more careful. They'll be right on the relegation cut again and letting an inexperienced coach loose in that environment just throws up too many variables.

Well he was meant to be a sub, but the fans didn't act in a positive way. Saying that it could of been banter, but I wasn't sure if I am honest.

Rumours going round on that oh so reliable source of Twitter that Sherwood has been sacked in the last hour. It may have started from one of those bullshit transfer accounts though...

Hard to say really. JJ seemed to suggest that the news that Sherwood was going to be replaced in the summer was leaked by Sherwood himself. Sherwood is the one who has constantly discussed his future with the media, and makes classless remarks about how even the fan invited onto the manager's chair on Sunday wouldn't have a chance of the job because "he's English".

Levy, on the other hand, has said nothing. If he had publicly supported him he'd be painting himself into a corner, but by publicly criticising him Levy would be accountable for handling the situation poorly.

If it turned out that Levy had waited until the end of the season before sounding out possible replacements, loads of fans would be complaining that he had sat on his arse doing nothing whilst we were clearly going to need a new man in charge. Instead he gets criticised for targets like Van Gaal and De Boer publicly discussing their private conversations.

I'm far from being a BSoL, but I don't see how he could have handled this situation much better after employing Sherwood. Of course what he should have done was to insist on only hiring Sherwood as a caretaker manager, and moving on to someone else if Sherwood refused anything but an 18 month contract.
That is one reason why I pour criticism on Levy, hiring Sherwood as a coach with a contract was a very, very stupid move by Levy. I think Levy just panicked. If he hires someone as a caretaker everyone knows where they stand.

Love how "Sherwoodians" are seen as the irrational ones who need a space to vent. :ROFLMAO:

I''ve been seriously worried about the mental state of most spurs fans who reacted to Sherwood becoming manager as if he'd banged their wife and killed their dog

Hi-larious! Right out of left field that joke - it's a wonder no one has ever gone down the 'always injured' route with Darren before...

It's so obvious now! How could we have missed it for so long?

AVB left, leaving us in the lurch with no warning. Sherwood knew the Club, the youth squad, and the players better than any incoming caretaker would be able to get up to speed with in such a short period of time. The contract was the only way Levy could tempt him to take on the role.

It doesn't really matter to the supporters whether Sherwood was on a 6 month or 18 month contract. The payout will be comparatively tiny to any of our other bills when we fire him.

It's kind of funny but also somewhat scary...

This kind of behavior, where you lose perspective to such an extent, is increasingly common these days. Forums, online media, even the narrow mass-media, are like echo chambers feeding their mania. It's textbook - this kind of behavior is literally in textbooks.
