It's not going to be announced today. Today the OS will be filled with videos, photos, and comments from the Ledley testimonial and Ledley deserves that. It won't be overshadowed by the news of a managerial sacking.

I think that would make sense.

Also if Baldini and Levy are actually talking about the managerial situation today then a decision may not be made until tomorrow anyway.

Depends on who releases the news I guess, Levy and Tim are meant to meet today. If Tim gets his way I am sure he'll want the headlines.

As a manager I'd put Sherwood in the Hughton bracket, but without the humility. WBA or Norwich would be his limit. He just isn't up to this job yet. If i could believe that he learns from his mistakes I'd give him more time but his ego is too big a barrier.

Without the humility and without the clipboard.

We need to get on with things though

Now that we know Pochettino is the new manager we need to bring him in fast and get in the players he wants fast

Pretty sure that even if Poch is on the list, he'll only be on a list. I'd be amazed if Levy didn't interview at least two candidates.

Pocchetino fits the profile as well as anyone, and must know it will be downhill if he stays at Southampton. I would be amazed if it is anyone else.

No decision to be made- it is just common sense

I meant in terms of timing. I agree that there's no real decision to be made with regards to Sherwood, but then they have to think about all the other backroom staff, especially, Freund, Ferdinand and Ramsey.

Keep Freund, the guy is amazing and loved by the players. Can only help the new man to keep him around.

It is of course possible that JJ is wrong, although i cant recall an occasion he has been, but he seemed pretty adamant reading between the lines that it will be Pochettino

Aquayid bet JJ some golf equipment that Poch would not be our new manager and JJ replied that he looks forward to his new putter as soon as this week

Actually I thought the bet was that Neil had said it would be FDB or Rafa...........and JJ said it would not. Could be someone completely left field

It could be, but if its neither of the above and it isn't LVG, then i'd be surprised if it wasn't Pochettino.
