Not posted to start a firestorm on his time as manager at Spurs. Just thought the article an interesting read.

Comes across as a bit "I was bought midway through a season and I had no positive impact that season". Of course, that was well before transfer windows existed, and the window was open 24/7/365 (or 366 on a leap year!).

It's difficult to see his point, as players will always need time to 'adapt'. I think history disproves him enough, though, as plenty of clubs have signed short term players to patch up the squad until the end of the season - to good effect too.

Did laugh at this:

"At Spurs, our chairman was Alan Sugar up until 2001, when Daniel Levy took over. I liked Sugar. You knew where you stood with him."

Guess he's not made wine from the sour grapes yet.

It's a wonder he hasnt joined twitter or become a tv pundit yet. Guy loves to run his mouth and throw in some subliminal subtle shots. Perfect for both those mediums.

The best January signings are the ones you don't make because you insist the squad is great, then slag them all off a few weeks later when you lose and need someone to take the blame for it.

Ain't that right, Timmy?

Like I've said many times before we have a lot to thank Sherwood. It's times others give him and Sir Les respect
