I'm seeing this alot and it's one of the poorest excuses for Levy I've ever seen.

1. The ESL did not go ahead, anybody could see it was going to be a disaster and universally panned by fans. Levy almost sold our club (not company!) down the river because of an extremely poor decision that has possible permanently damaged the brand of the club. A poor, out of touch decision from a footballing, moral and marketing point of view.

2. There is absolutely no way any one of our fans would have been pissed about not being a part of the super league. Look at the reaction to Bayern, Porto and Dortmund.

If Levy stays as the face of the club we will always be linked to this disastrous project.

The German clubs have a 50+1 rule, its not as easy for them to make massive changes without fan backing. Like you I can say I was 99% sure this dog wouldn't hunt, but the German clubs knew there was no rush to accept anything. if this had been accepted they could easily have joined at a later date.

you mean the owners. The owners would make hundreds of millions from an investment of nothing.

Levy could piss on you and you’d say it was raining.

What would it take I wonder?

Sorry I don't follow, we would have been in a league, with even less chance of competing than we do in the PL.

The 50+1 rule has to be the future of football. The super league has just shown us that current chairmen haven't got a fucking clue what fans want.

We're a football club not a company mate. Most of our fans would still follow us if we fell into the championship as long as we kept our integrity. I don't give a shit how much money we're making, I give a shit about the football.
That's very romantic, but that doesn't pay the bills, pay for the likes of Kane,Son or Bale..
Oh and that shabby little shithole he makes us sit in week in week out .

I understand why Levy joined the ESL but that doesnt make it right. He was willing to sell out this football club for a quick buck to pay off some debts. We can all admire the majority of what he has done off the pitch but with the usual messy period like now....off you trot Daniel, ta ta.

I fear we missed that boat, how are any fan base gonna gather the money and then convince the owning group to sell? As much as I like the idea I cant agree with making owners give up 51% of a club for no compensation.

When I heard Sunday I thought it was an empty threat to give UEFA a kick up the backside. To go through it without Players, staff, fans, FA consent was absolutely criminal. Showed just how far out of touch with reality they all are.

The league was never going to a league.

Any fool could see that, his misjudgment is legendary.

But I have no idea if you are defending his idiotic decision of saying we needed to join to lose?

I'm curious - which other big club are you looking at, and thinking "I wish we had their chairman"? If you think we get rid of Levy and suddenly become Premier League winners, I want some of what you're smoking.

I'm not saying Levy has done a bad job, I'm saying his decision to be part of this SL flies in the face of everything he has openly told the fans though out his tenure.
