Way too good to be remembered as an unappreciated squad member at spurs. Why on earth would he ever regret leaving?

As usual, we pulled the trigger too soon. Great player, well suited to this system. As was Holtby. Would love to have seen a front four of Soldado, Erickson, Holtby and Gylfi.

Talented player who lacked a bit of pace which, when surrounded by slackers, made him look less than ideal. In a team that grafts hard though, he looks very classy. Not your fault you didn't make it at Spurs Gylfi. Liked him a lot, both on and off the pitch.

I expected Sigurdsson to fill VDV's boots, but unfortunately this did not happen. Right decision for him to move back to Swansea where he is now a regular starter and one of their main creative players.

Still no where near as good as VDV in his prime but still a good player. Just did n't seem to happen for hime at Spurs though. One of his best performances was when he was on pain killers.

Nice chap though. Perhaps a little too nice.

Um, he was unfairly lambasted by posters on here when he continually popped up with goals and crackers at that.

Wrong player to get rid off. Young, determined, international, class etc.

But we are Spurs and we make a lot of terrible decisions.

How many did Dempsey get, and Paulinho last season?
Yet people slag them off and at the same time, provide endless excuses for soldado not knowing where the goals are located.

This may be a common trait but I can only speak from a spurs perspective. Why do fans purr over past players when, in all fairness, they've not done a lot since they left

Siggys a decent player but that's all, he's done well against lesser sides but still goes missing agaisnt the top teams. This was a major criticism of him and many others, arse free kick aside I've seen him on a few occasions and still feel a bit meh. He got off to a good start with Swansea but he seems to be levelling out again.

Same can be said for Holtby, seen him a couple of times and he still seems full of passion as running...but that's about it, again a decent enough player. We're over thrown with 10's and have been over the past couple of seasons. Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli, Siggy, Holtby and arguably Kane all should be playing in the whole. Our balance is off, that's glaringly obvious, but I'd happily make the same decision to let them go in order to keep Eriksen (when he finds consistence he'll be on his way to Madrid) Lamela (still see so much potential, really don't want to give up on him yet) Chadli (seems to know where the goal is) and Kane (love him)

Just my two pence, hopefully siggy won't make me eat my words tomorrow although we're far from being considered a 'top' side

First time I've seen the club name spelt without an 'n', and in the headline too. Got to love the modern standard of journalism.

Thanks for pointing that out, I've corrected it even though it was their mistake not mine. Like things to be done right here ;)
