I'm in favour as Players are happy to take a yellow card for deliberate fouling,

I’d be worried that the affected team would stick 9 men behind the ball and ride it out. Could really affect the flow/quality of matches especially if there were 2 or 3 per game.

Surely the flow of matches is affected by cynical fouls that are severe yellow cards but not quite red?

I think we just need to leave the bloody game alone, unless it is an unqualified success like goal line technology...all this tampering with the game just makes it a worse spectacle for match going fans particularly but also for everyone, nobody knows the game anymore or the rules and then on top of that we have Gooners (no relevance but fuck em right in the neck)

Of course but my point is that sin-bins would see teams lose interest in attacking during the affected period. And that's before the delays of the ref 'binning' the player, him arguing and taking ages to leave the field.

Other sports seem to cope not sure why football can't or come up with a different yellow card points system for premeditated fouls.

The penalty box or sin bin (sometimes called the bad box, or simply bin or box) is the area in ice hockey, rugby union, rugby league, roller derby and some other sports where a player sits to serve the time of a given penalty, for an offence not severe enough to merit outright expulsion from the contest.

No thanks - we need to stop changing what isn't broke. We wont be able to recognise the beautiful game in a few years with the amount of changes that are happening.

There have been plenty of changes to the game in fairly recent times that have definitely improved it, not least the back pass rule.

Sin bin yellow cards have been in place at grass roots for a few years now.

I’ve not played football for a few years now but decided to make a comeback this season. We had a man sin binned this week for dissent. We basically shut the game down for 10 minutes, took an age to take throw ins and goal kicks, feigned injuries it was actually quite ridiculous to the point that the other team asked the ref to bring him back on so that we could get back to a proper game.

It works with kids mate, I get your point with adults though. I am assuming at the point he was sinbinned it wasn't deep into the second half with you being 1-0 down. What I would say though if you got sin binned for dissent at pro level, your manager would be furious with you after the game. If it were to stop at the very top level it would have more of an effect on youth football, than the kids getting the sinbin themselves imo. They 100% mimic what they see on MOTD week in week out.
