Sissoko doesn't 'deserve' a place in the team

We've got at least half a dozen players in that category at the moment. Are we going to bin all of them too or is Sissoko just a convenient target? He came in with no pre season and no match fitness - I'm not surprised he hasn't pulled up trees. Can't say I'm a fan of his but all this knee jerk stuff is such rubbish.

So is our manager being impatient then as his comments indicate?

He sounds frustrated more than impatient to me. We know players need to be handled in different ways and maybe Poch thinks Sissoko needs a kick up the arse more than an arm round the shoulder.

I find it odd that all his games have been on the right wing. He wasn't always a right winger, was he? I don't mind admitting I was one of those who thought he could be a good signing, but that was because i saw him as a more attacking version of Wanyama. I can't see how he has the attributes of a winger.

Sorry I'm not having that. He played the whole of the Euros for France (extremely well as he knew he was in the shop window) and there was nothing to stop him having a full pre-season with Newcastle, which I would imagine would be very professional under Benitez. He knew he was 99% likely to move so it was his duty to stay fit. Ok he wouldn't have featured in friendlies but to use match fitness as an excuse at the end of November doesn't wash.

The frustration is (for me anyway) he showed how good he is at the Euros, so we can only assume it's attitude that's stopping him from trying to perform like that most weeks.

Never thought he was the right signing for us as I paid more attention to his Newcastle 'performances' than his French ones. Still willing him to succeed but sadly it'll be a surprise if he does.
