At skysports.com we have a reputation for the honesty and integrity of our reporting. Unfortunately we fell short of those standards with our coverage of John Terry's

interview with Sky Sports News on July 19 during which the Chelsea captain was asked to comment on Luka Modric.

We would like to clarify that John Terry did not refer to Luka Modric as being disrespectful to Tottenham Hotspur

during the interview. On realising our error we immediately removed the original article and published a corrected version which you can read here
We would like to apologise to John Terry and Chelsea for any inconvenience caused.

Anyone there ever heard of Tottenham Hotspur?

Would seem a bit out of character for JT to accuse a player going after money of being disrespectful so I guess we can put it down to some creative reporting, though they should really be analysing the body language from our training session footage rather than trying to mash their ape fingers into the keyboard in the hope of writing an exclusive story..

What a joke. I'm pretty sure he did say the bit about Modric being disrespectful, they had a video of it. :?

I didn't get that impression, I thought he was trying to suggest that it was disrespectful discussing Modric when he is still under contract at Spurs. Sky were reporting it as if Terry was encouraging Chelsea to make a further bid, when all he did was rate him as an opposing player.

I'm not sure I like the idea of giving John Terry the benifit of the doubt

He was 100% saying it was disrespectful to Spurs to talk about.

It was actually a direct quote.....
"It's probably a little bit disrespectful to Spurs... [to talk about the situation]"

I sense the hand of NI...what a mess they are in!

I stopped reading there. Sky are rotten to the core, despise them with a passion.

And yet, despite them continuing to prove, time and time again, that in front of the cameras they are little more than trained dogs in human clothes, behind the cameras, former medical testing subject chimpanzees with a huge box of crayons, hordes of you continue to fund this animal cruelty.

Lets face it, if Chelsea mounted the pavement and ran over a pushchair, Sky would blame the mother for pushing it in the way. It's pathetic the way they suck Romans cockski.

funny how they haven't come out with an apology re the Modric interview on Croatian TV. They repeatedly claimed that Modric had been asked about a move to Chavski when Dinpomp and others confirmed that Chavs were never mentioned. Sh*t stirring from Sky of the highest order and complete double standards here. They are despicable *****

It is double standards from Sky but when we have a big mouth manager in Redknapp we just have to take this on the chin.

If Chelsea ever do sign Modric Sky will probably declare it a national holiday...

Only because half the staff will have wanked themselves into a coma, the other half suffered terrible back problems from patting each other on them for an entire week, without pause.
