Oh ok. Do you know when the BT ones are released? I know there were to be some heated debates between Sky and BT now that Sky don't have all of the `premium` games.

I would expect that with the SKY fixtures out today then hopefully BT won't be too far behind. As a side note, I had heard that the majority of BT games would be the saturday lunchtime games and have just found this on the BT.com website:

BT Sport will show the first game of the new season on Saturday 17 August. BT Sport will go through a match selection process which will take about two weeks, at which point our live games will be announced.
The BT Sport football package includes 38 live Premier League matches - 18 of them top-pick games – plus action from the FA Cup, Europa League, Scottish Premier League and top European leagues.

While there is a rumour that the fixtures will be revealed today, it's just a rumour. Sky haven't announced a date, let alone a time for it.

There is also a rumour going around that the announcement has been cancelled for today as Sky and BT are still haggling over who to cover.

Probably the people that started the rumour that it was going to be today trying to save face.

IIRC it doesn't work like that. The weekends are allocated evenly according to the amount of first picks each company has, so BT will already know which weekends are theirs and have first pick from that set of fixtures leaving Sky with the bones to pick. And vica versa.

That sounds about right. Previously the bids were for a time slot eg Sat 12.45, Sat 5.15, Sun 1.30, Sun 4.00 and MNF. ESPN had the late saturday slot which showed a game roughly every other week interchanging with the championship coverage. I suspect this is now BT.

Once chosen, I guess the police have to be involved to make sure no issues with policing etc.

Sky are showing a game on Saturday evenings for the coming season, so it would appear BT are having Saturday lunchtime games (as Sky are still doing Sunday double headers and MNF).

BT have games? Do they have a TV channel and will it require an extra subscription on top of Sky?

In the past they've usually been announced 2-3 weeks after the fixtures were released.

Tomorrow will mark 3 weeks(?) since the fictures were released, so as Cavehill says, they must be due any day now.

I'm not expecting our game vs Palace to be televised though. I'd expect the 4 live games for the first weekend to be:

Swansea v Utd (Champions/Moyes' first game and all that)
Chelsea v Hull (Mourinho love in and all that)
Man City v Newcastle (decent game, big money signings on show, Joe Kinnear and all that)

Actually, we may be the other game after all. Arsenal v Villa is a bit dull, and the TV companies may be keen to see Bale and another of the newly promoted teams in action. We shall see...

I'd rather we not be televised than be the first Monday Night game though.

Fixtures were rumoured to be announced on Monday but it seems as if this process is taking longer than expected.

BT sport are basically filling the role that Sentanta and then ESPN filled. Just like those channels it'll be a premium channel. If you're a BT customer you may be able to get the channel for free, might be BT infinity customers only.

So does that mean SKY will be showing less of our games...?

be fucked if I'M paying for Sky, ESPN and BT!! LOL

No Sky are actually showing more games this year but BT have basically taken ESPNs allocation of games. Im not sure if Sky has first pick on all of the big games or whether BT have that pleasure, think thats maybe what the delay in the announcement is over.
