Sky pubs in or around Machynlleth, Wales...

I find myself in rural Wales today... asked a taxi driver this morning and he didn't seem to think there were any pubs with Sky here(Machynlleth), and recommended going to Aberystwyth...

So yeah, does anyone know of a pub near here? Or failing that, where's good in Aberystwyth?

Hi i'm from the Machynlleth area, you can watch the match almost in any pub in town, try th Red Lion, White Horse o'r Skinners arms, match will be shown in these places.You will be outnumbered by a lot Liverpool fans.

Hmmm, I was in the Red Lion last night while the Arsenal match was on, and they weren't showing it, instead they had Ceefax with the scores on :think:

And yeah, was in a taxi back to my uncles (about 5 miles outside the town) and asked the driver and he said that there was a fair few yids in the area, and that he was one too! But he wasn't sure if there was anywhere with Sky cos he had it at home or something...

And yeah, would expect to be outnumbered by Liverpool fans... oh well, will make it all the more sweet when we win :dance:

Now I think about it, I was in Skinners, not the Red Lion, and the Arsenal match woulda been on ESPN :think:

hmm quite close to me but i cant think of where the pubs are go on google maps and have a look.

Can't help you with the pubs, but lovely area you are in, we used to stay a lot at Clarach on the way to Aberystwyth.
