So Dzeko to City? Torres to Spurs?

Just watchin him play tonight and something just isn't right. Maybe we could offer him a way out of his Liverpool nightmare with a cheeky bid? Didn't Glenn Hoddle say we were all set to sign him when he was manager only for the board to refuse to sanction the transfer?

Would love to see Torres in the current Spurs team!

So would I but would be put off by how injury prone he is. We have enough of those already.

Torres has body language (injury) issue like Berbatov both good players mind you but just can't see him leaving Liverpool for Tottenham.

If he did come I would be completely shocked, happy toooo.

Just watching pool now and it is like watching a relegation battle.....If harry was to offer him a way out I think he would drive himself here

Assuming the ITK is accurate of course

Wouldnt surprise me tbh.

Elmander and Pienaar are both out of contract in the summer, and they both fit the Harry signing mould.

would they be upgrades?

Pienaar certainly would...

I no longer think it's such a ridiculous idea, even if I have serious misgivings about his injury record. They've just lost to Wolves. He'd surely jump at the opportunity to play for us. He'd fit in perfectly with our counter attackng style.

...Woy's face had resignation all over it. A perfect time to cash in! board has no new managers head to go over. Sell now, get the cash and give it to the new guy.

It's interesting how we have never been linked to Torres in the media. It would be the most spectacular piece of under the radar business possible. Jamie Redknapp's just been ranting about how he looked disinterested tonight. Time to answer the SOS!

I would imagine that they would want to lure a new manager with Torres (and Reina).

Hard to find a captain for a sinking ship that is empty

Easier to find a captain for a sinking ship that has lots of (in best pirate voice) booty. aargh!

I can't see us spending £30m+ on a player who would also want £80k+ a week in wages.

Elmander I think is quality, took time to settle at Bolton but looks good now, not sure he would improve us but I wouldn't complain having him in the squad if we managed to shift two of our current strikers.

On who? I've been thinking about that today but can't think where he'd fit into our team.

Pienaar for me would give us the option of resting the likes of Bale, Lennon and especially Modric.

He wouldnt neccesarily become a first team starter for the biggest games, but could certainly play a 25-30 game part every season.

The flip side to that is, as we know, Harry beleives in picking the strongest eleven every game. So he could become a Kranjcar?!?! I dont know

Harry does definately want him though. He even spoke about him as a Special player, so I suppose we'll see in time

Three points above the relegation zone. No prospect of CL football next season, let alone silverware this. There couldn't really be too many of their brightest lights who wouldn't jump at a move-and I'm including Reina in that.

Torres has been pants for a long time and he would cost a fortune. His touch is terrible. I would rather not.
