After Harry the manager and players have all been pretty quiet, which was a big relief and the best thing about AVB. Now though I seem to be reading about a complaint from him every day plus the players are being quoted more. Not usually good signs

You need players with a mixture of pace, class and intelligence to work the channels. You need players making runs behind the defence. You need good passers of the ball to pick out those runs. You need fullbacks who literally do the work of wingers when we have the ball so that the wide forwards can make runs behind the defence instead of having to drop off to create the play which leaves Soldado isolated. We need to play an out and out DM who will enable the fullbacks to get up the pitch. We need to encourage the no.10 and the other DM to interchange positions and work together to create openings. We need playersfrom all positions making runs past Soldado when we get blocked out on the edge of the area. All of thats just not happening at the moment but could be spelled out and instilled in the squad in a single training session

It's not the results it's the results and the performance. Yes we plaed much better in the second half, but we lost the game when we were bloody awful in the first half. Get the results and there will be far less moaning, boring football, new stars not performing and a home defeat and you get moaning.
This is SC and we are Spurs fans. There will always, ALWAYS be moaning. Speaking of which I'm going to meet up with some mates for a spot of tandem moaning. See you lot later!

We've been using the excuse that teams Park The bus. It won't be long before they realise we're easyto defend against and start having a go at us.
Then we'll be in trouble.

I am not so sure they do park the bus, we are so slow at going forward teams get the chance to get organised, it just gives the illusion of teams parking the bus.

No imagination in our play no quick one two's around the box just sideways passing once we get around the oppositions box.

Teams are coming to the Lane to park the bus. Surely playing our high line at home just makes this even worse? We are squeezing two teams into half a pitch. Why don't we try to invite the teams to attack us a little more so we can use our pace to exploit them?

I've always been a fan of AVB but I'm getting quite fed up with his team selections. I can't quite fathom why Eriksen deserved a start over Lamela on Sunday. Ok, Eriksen wasn't our weakest player but that doesn't stop one from wondering what Lamela needs to do to earn a first team spot. I can't quite remember when this season I have really been happy with one of AVB's league line up's. Every week I expect to see a change and every week I feel let down. Watching the team struggle in the final 3rd then seeing Lamela and Holtby on the bench just baffles me.

As eluded to, are teams really parking the bus? Or are we so poor at attacking that they have ample time to get men behind the ball?
Or if they are indeed parking the bus what would happen if they decided to go for it?
IMO if they went for it, contrary to onion, I doubt very much we'd have much success going forward. In fact we'd just be there for the taking.
