So has his performance during the WC changed any bodies view on him?
He's been superb but let's not fall into the trap of judging players solely on one tournament. He's also been exceptionally poor when I've seen him in the league and AFCON. But he has shown the value of an out and out DM, and I wonder if Conte would like one of them in our squad to allow us to play 3 in midfield with 2 others pushing forward rather than a more creative ACM which many here are are crying out for.

The only point is if we go to 3 5 2 I think

my opinion of him has changed after seeing him playing this WC. However, we really don't need him as another holding midfielder

Never sign a player off the back of a tournament. James Rodriguez, Karel Poborsky, Kleberson, Gyan…it’s just a completely different environment. Arguably the player of the tournament though.

Never been the biggest fan of buying players of the back of a tournament (during this WC, Morocco seem quite happy sitting back and defending and working hard and from that perspective he looks a perfect fit) but he looks like he has the tools to do well here to be fair. Not surprised Liverpool are looking at him even if it is as a squad player/stop gap as he looks to have a good engine, is mobile and has strength and that is exactly what they are lacking.

He’s a good player, and would be a great addition to the squad

All his World Cup performances have done is remind me that the vast vast vast majority of us are absolutely clueless and should shut up when it comes to most things. Leave it to the experts and enjoy the ride.

Never has happened before and in the future though. It's a discussion board. What else are we gonna talk about? Aristotle?

just don't read it then- football is about opinions including yours. Presumably you think we should sign him up? Where would you put him in our pecking order of four, currently?
