Doesn't exist. There is only racism.

Society hasn't been made aware yet.

Just the same as sexist women are often called "feminists" and not just sexists*.

*That's not to say feminism is sexism, just the they're bundled together by ignorance.

To my mind if you reverse the word black for white and it is seen as offensive then so should the first uttering. Reverse racism is a common occurrence in many walks of life. The goal for modern society should be full integration with colour not a consideration. By campaigning like this he is emphasising the split black vote/white vote like they are separate.

That's what I mean by inciting racial hatred. It could make non-white citizens think that white politicians don't care about ethnic diversity. Quite weird considering how tolerant the UK has been towards imported culture.

Racism exists quite strongly in the USA due to the clash of actual diversity that's existed since the country (or "states") was/were pretty much founded. It often feels like people in the UK see that and think "hey, racism must be here like that too". Racism exists here, but it's not the same problem at all.

The reason why there are so many white managers, coaches, politicians, monarchs etc. is because it's a country made up of a lot of white people over a lot of years. That's not at all to say that the country doesn't have a strong non-white backbone and culture at all, but the odds of someone being white are far greater. In the 2011 census, they found that 55m people in the UK are white and 8m are non-white. That's 87% white.

By trying to make it look like some sort of problem with society, it's likely to cause a problem. The "white folk" in the house of commons are just as unreachable for normal white people as they are for any other person, regardless of skin colour. They are historic lines of interbred, public schooled, wealthy families. Sol is trying to force his way into becoming one of them (as seen by his lifestyle) rather than concentrating on the real issue - the people aren't represented regardless of what colour their skin is.

I wouldn't actually agree with the goal. I think we should aim for equality, certainly, but I cannot see how you can make colour "not a consideration" without becoming ignorant of culture. Namely, with white people still being the dominant group, I think this type of reasoning could lead to the erasure of predominantly black cultures and beliefs in favour of pure assimilation which in my view would be a shame. We should be aiming for respect (not merely tolerance), shared community and equality, not pure integration ignoring the fact that we do all comes from different backgrounds and have different stories and histories to tell.

I can also see Judas' point here with the "black vote" - it's a fact that right now the average black person does hold different cultural, social and political beliefs to the average white person, although these are generally to the left which doesn't help Sol much! It's also a fair argument to make that demographics with lower electoral turnout are less represented by politicians, that's common sense. In essence I do agree with the argument he's making - that by not voting, the shared culture and beliefs of many people from ethnic minority or immigrant origins are less represented compared to those of white British voters - but the "whiting up" is a pretty misguided way of doing so.

Caused Sol a minor inconvenience today. I work for a building company who are doing some work on one of his properties. Sol was due on site today to put his handprints in some concrete (i know WTF) Some plonker in one of our shipping offices appears to of booked the job on for the wrong day which means no concrete.... so i got to ruin his plans WOOHAHAHAHA.
If that isn't a victory for Tottenham fans everywhere I don't know what is.

When the concrete does turn up and he is just bending down to put his hand in it, give him a slight nudge and bury the fucker in it. Everyone is happy then.

"I bring something new to the table. I come from a working-class background, it wasn't easy for me at all, but I worked hard. And now it's about giving something back."

Campbell left Tottenham in acrimonious circumstances in 2001, moving to bitter rivals Arsenal.

However, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of Spurs fans voting for him in the election, despite their apparent dislike for Campbell 14 years on.

He added: "If we keep thinking about football, we're not going to do anything. We are dealing with people's lives here."

So, Sol Campbell or George Galloway for mayor.....

That's like choosing between VD and Gonnorrhea.

GG has many great views and I'm sure many policies he would implement would be very good for the majority not just for Boris and his mates in those ivory towers

Alas he does also have a few barking ones but I could probably live with that

Nah, sorry. He's a ****.

Still, in reality the Tories will never choose Campbell as their candidate and it will be a choice between their candidate and the Labour one. And whereas I voted Labour in the General Election I don't really want them in for London as I'd like the unions kept under as much control as possible.
