It’s quite incredible to hear him talk about the game as there isn’t a single element of tactical insight or understanding the complexities of the mental side, handling players and a squad. It’s all ‘man down the pub’ sound bites.

this might change your mind on the tactical insights

Had he of shown any kind of loyalty as a player then maybe he'd have a club willing to give him a chance. The reality is he is/was always out for himself and doesn't inspire someone to give you a chance.

He needs help more than he actually realises.

I loved him when he was at Spurs. I hate him with a passion now. It seems to me he don't care about any clubs, fans, or former players gone by.

What is wrong with him? Could anyone even diagnose what's wrong with the bloke? I can't work out whether he's just dillusional, narcissistic, thick as fuck, a wind up merchant, or just some sort of mental illness. He really is a strange arsehole

He never ceases to amaze me with his self assessment.

I don’t know, I think, you know, you got Pep, you know, the way he plays football, you know….

Its like he had a brain transplant with Ashley Cole and no one noticed the difference.

Whenever I've seen him on TV he's really struggled to get his point across, he isn't a natural speaker, which must be the starting point for a successful coach.

He has, like a lot of people nowadays, a bad case of the repetetive mumbles.
And he expects everyone to know and understand him yet he doesnt even understand himself.
He amounts to very little in the footballing world but to himself he is all and everything...an early example of all that is wrong with what was then a sport.

He's a really poor communicator but let's be honest, he's actually a proper weirdo. Take away the Spurs / Arsenal history, and just judge him objectively, would you want him as manager of your club? Would you want him doing PC's and post match interviews? He comes across as a strange guy with no football knowledge apart from saying things like 'passion, and love for football'.

You can see he wants to be a manager purely for his own ego, not about helping a club, developing players or because he's a tactical nerd.

He was handed a lifeline in life by having immense talent at football, as a defender anyway, but if it wasn't for that, you'd honestly struggle to see what he would have done in life.

He'd just be that unemployed eccentric oddball walking around North London in a purpler blazer feeding the pigeons.

Listening to that Jordan basically gave him the answer but was too stupid to get the hint. "People will have a perception of Sol Campbell" and "Disloyal little weasel".

Actually met him pretty recently coming out of a BP garage in Benfleet. Was the bigger man and held the door open for him to walk in. Should've asked him for the £30 back for 6 year old me getting Campbell 23 on the back of the purple shirt.

Anyway, he always just comes off as so douchey. Liked how Jordan gave him the chance to state how he interviewed and Campbell just stuck to the generic buzz word answers.

Respect to.you . I would have held door and then as he got closer slammed it in his face and said Judas at the same time. BTW , was Lennox far behind!

Since his retirement as a player, there seems to be long periods of time (years) where he hasn't been involved in coaching.

If you want to establish yourself in a new industry/profession, you have to do the hard graft.

Apparently he's done his badges, but has be put the effort in by working with youth set-ups, being on a coaching team, being an assistant manager, working with a DoF, etc? If he hasn't been able to do that in this country, has be gone abroad to do it?

There seems to be a lot of talk and not much action.

Plus, let's be fair, most football fans and professionals probably still think he's a Judas :cautious:

Don't think they're trying to promote him. They're just using him for a cheap laugh. They know from experience that he'll be an absolute car crash and then their highlights clip etc. will get retweeted and shared around like the one above.

Seeing how WBA, Palace and Everton have all got vacancies I take it he’s thrown his hat in the ring or does he see them as not worthy of his mind…

And the coffers fill when the crazy Spurs fans ring in to whinge about what he's just mumbled about.
