In times like these its great to see berba talking about our great tradition and fans to the media. He seems to be genuinly in love with football and not so much the money.

Dimitar Berbatov has reaffirmed his commitment to Tottenham and is convinced Juande Ramos will revive their flagging performances.
The Bulgarian was Spurs’ standout performer last term, but his form has suffered in the same way as the club’s in the present campaign.
Martin Jol was ousted from the helm following their poor start and it has been suggested that Berbatov could be moved on in the January transfer window.
Ramos has vowed to steady the ship before mounting a revival and Berbatov is keen to aid the Spaniard in his quest.
"It's a pleasure and an honour to play for Tottenham and I enjoy myself here,” said Berbatov. “We are having a difficult time at the moment, not every day can be a good day but we must stay strong.

"I love everyone who loves Tottenham and I see the passion of our fans. It doesn't matter if we are winning or losing, they are still behind us and that is what I really appreciate.
"When we go out onto the pitch and we hear them applauding and cheering the team, it gives us a lift and makes us determined to do well.
"We are not in a good position in the table. We know we shouldn't be there and it is frustrating because I know we have a brilliant squad, with so much ability and class throughout.
"We are finding it hard to get going even though we have virtually the same players as last season, when we did so well.
"But we are working hard to put things right and with the new boss I'm confident we are on the right track again."

Plus he said some good stuff about wanting to be like ginola and hoddle, so he really seems to care about the club alot. Not just himself as some people like to point out.

He's clearly had his media-training refresher. All the usual rubbish players come out with, doesn't mean a thing. I'm more excited about his seeming return to form

Nice to hear, but has to be taken with a pinch of salt, although my gut feeling says Berba will be with us next season. Feeling positive this morning. :)

the fans haven't been brilliant though. We've beeen quieter than last year and we're all too eager to moan when we're behind. And we are certainly not singing and cheering on the lads when we are losing.

I feel good about it too. He's a good lad. Just wish he would score 2 or more a game and create a couple more....

The other thing is that I think Man U and Chelsea were the only likely destinations if he did go and I just don't think either will make a move anymore. I reckon his sulking earlier in the season will have nixed any future SAF bid and I don't think Chelski will pay up at the moment.

Can I just remind you all of how he didn't want to answer properly when asked if he was staying... I think in an interview for the build-up of the West Ham game.

I think this is all good news, although whether he will stay or not is irrelevant, it tells us he is commited to football and is sick of all the rummors flying round, this tells us that he is 100% true to the spurs and still considers himself a spurs player, which can only be a good thing, no?

What does "100% true to Spurs" mean?

He's always played in exactly the same way, so I'm sick of hearing people say he's not trying this season. He "wasn't trying" last season either, or when he played for Leverkusen. He's a flair player. A fucking quality one. He may not put the effort in that other players do, but he more than makes up for it by being one of the most technically skilled players in the world.

No. You epitomise the typical football fan. Or probably just sports fan in general.

yes and I agree with you!! but what I am saying is that he was getting very upset with all the papers talking about, him and his family, and it was distracting him from his football, but now he has put it all behind him and is thinking only of footballing matters. And leaving his own life out of football.

Maybe hes just getting some posative quotes in early so he doesnt get pestered by reporters over christmas.

I know these sentiments dont mean that he wont leave, but its better than the massive silence we had from Carrick which meant you knew he was going to leave.

“Of course I didn’t mean those things Sir Alex, it is you I really love”.
