Clearly a very good player on his day, and I'm delighted with the signing.

However, is anyone else also a bit worried than all of Chadli, Eriksen and Son (our likely front 3) have a habit to disappear every few games or so.

If we have a game where they're all out of it, we'll be in trouble.

Do you mean like when we've played Lamela, Chadli and Eriksen and they've all gone missing? :ROFLMAO:

So can the Pope.

The ironic thing is jesus used to make them for a living. So did his step dad.

If he does get reserected again i bet that would be the last thing he'd want to see. He'd probably run off screaming never to be heard from again.

Chadli and lamela are both pretty mediocre players. Chadli does a little more sometimes but lamela probably has a little more potential. I wouldn't be too upset if you told me that neither would ever play for spurs again, however, and I certainly expecting Son to put both of them in the shade.

<nutshell> The problem with so many fans. </nutshell>

I am happy with Chadil actually, we only paid 7 million and he had a good goal return last season.

Possibly, but then the kind of player that CONSTANTLY terrorises defences every game to the level Chadli, Eriksen and Son would display on a 'one in two or three' basis, is your Bale 12/13 level player, i.e. world record transfer territory.

In effect while £22m is a lot of money and he's our 3rd most expensive player, part of that is reflective of his 'potential' element. I.e. he's a great player NOW, but if we can coax more consistency out of him, we'll be able to sell him on to Real Madrid or whoever for a ridiculous fee in a few seasons time. If not, he's still likely to contribute at least more effectively and consistently than our existing options as well as offering more pace and directness into the bargain.

Nobody is pretending he is the complete or perfect player yet, if he was, in all honesty, he wouldn't have signed for us, he'd have gone somewhere like Bayern Munich or Real Madrid, Man U etc.

He was still one of the starting players at a Champions League level Bundesliga club though, so the signing still represents a massive coup and while many will be dissapointed by aspects of our transfer window, many would say legitimacy, Levy/Mitchell and all those involved should be applauded at landing this signing.

I don't think it ever needing sorting out, he was eligible to get it straight away

I think we had to Re apply for it when he moved?

Can't remember if it Was son that I seen had his sorted or njie - quick Google shows it was njie, no news on son that I could see but was subject to work permit and clearance.

No sign of Son in the squad for S Korea's game vs Lebanon today not even on the bench. Perhaps those reports that they were letting him return to England after the first game were correct?

I truly don't get the criticism of Chadli. Bale aside, when was the last time we had a winger with that kind of goal return?

The criticism of him comes from his play without the ball. He often leaves the left back exposed on defence.

He also doesn't beat his man that often, and is generally a bit dull to watch, but other than that he's been great value for money.

The signing of Son is a strange one to me. We had the chance to get him when he was 10 million but didn't take it, I am not saying he won't be a success but signing him seems a bit desperate and at 22 million it is a risky signing.

i read he wanted to stay in germany, so i dont think it was a case of us turning him down. someone else said wed signed lamela and chadli and eriksen instead. not sure on the timing?

the commercial aspects of the deal make it less risky. you can certainly expect a tour of korea next summer. that will help generate serious dough. i followed spurs to korea in 05 for the peace cup.

just to reconfirm son did not go to lebanon, my korean friends told me he got dispenseation to return to uk after their laos match.
