Personally, I think he's not good enough against a packed defense.

He's the type of player who needs space and transition to thrive, and in our system those chances come rarely if ever.

Well pretty much everywhere is now in agreement he's in London now for a medical with us. So I would say he simply didn't have all the info on this. Very much seems on to me!

It comes with our system, just not with our current crop of players. That's why we brought in N'Jie and why I sincerely hope we get either Berahino or Son, or best of all, both

If true, which we have all learned to take with a grain of salt, this is a massive get for us. He has the strength to step in immediately and is massively impressive with both feet. I lived in Korea for three years and watched this boy plenty to know that he is still very much on the rise. He does go missing, but he is a real threat out there and this move actually shows intent, which for us sounds damn near mental.

I'm letting myself believe but in the full knowledge it's most likely not real... Guessing everyone is in the same boat

---Berahino----Eriksen---------Son-----

+ Njie, Pritchard, Chadli, Dembele, Andros would look pretty decent. But I would be totally shocked if we pull that one and a good CM out of the hat.
Personally, the lack of creativity in that line up would be a concern for me. It would be direct and fast which is great but without Eriksen, Pritch would be the only other player who would fit the creative attacker mould and he has never had a season in the prem. On top of the fact Eriksen has been pretty poor and suffers from consistency I think we would struggle to break teams down who sit back and clog the box with defenders.

Is that not rue of all players who just offer pace and little else? Townsend, Lennon etc get shut down by teams allowing us to have the ball, pack defences and then hit us with counter attacks ... Big Sam was expert at that.

However we need a variety of players in the side so need pacy players and creative types. If we offer opposition a number of challenges it is harder for them to shut us down. When we only have one threat it is all too easily countered
