I'm scratching my head thinking of any world class footballer, that has ever come from an Asian country.. In general they are not ideally suited to the physical challenge of Premier League..
United had Kagawa who was high profile and failed

Keisuke Honda was world class for about 2-3 years

I would have to disagree with Koreans not being physical, I would say it's much more reasonable (although still rather a cliched and sweeping assessment) to say that they are in fact some of the fittest and best conditioned players in world football from a stamina/physicality POV. Also, Park has ran big games in Prem and Europe for United and is a legend there, winning a shedload of trophies whilst he was in England

Have you not seen how well their sprinters have done in the athletics world Championships? Powerful, tall and very very quick athletes are coming from Asian countries these days mate! Things have moved on. We also had yp Lee who was more than able to cope in the Prem as was the lad at Utd who did very well and won multiple trophies!

Recently, they were taken off the Formula 1 calendar for 2015.

So what do we reckon?

1) We are interested

2) We have bid

3) Our bid has been accepted and he is having a medical

Would love option 3) but reckon 1) is the most likely.

We'll be back in for Berahino on deadline day imo.

Without a doubt. I'm convinced, like I said earlier, we're using this deal, which happens to be very legitimate, to exert pressure on West Brom....its probably the case that we're handling two separate transfers very shrewdly indeed.

West Brom probably won't know what to make of this...as Son can play up top, but obviously more of a wide forward. Let them stew on it and go back on deadline day with a reasonable offer and they'll have no choice to accept if they want to avoid losing 50% plus on the player.

I hope we get both. As someone else said it would be a big statement from the club after an uninspiring start to the season and should kick start us...

Option 2 at least, possibly 3, I'm guessing Mike goes option 1 though :D

This does seem to go against our typical transfer speed, which stems from Levy's adoration of this photo that only hangs from his wall during the transfer window.

Bum Kun Cha - truly a world class striker. One of the all time greats at Bundesliga when the German league was the best in the world. Won cup winner's cubs twice with two different teams. Coincidentally he played with Leverkusen. His son Duri Cha even played for Celtic until recently.

Park Ji-sung was a great player for United. Gave it his all every game, an incredible work horse. Sir Alex often picked him for the biggest games, a real favourite of his.

Always wondered where we got the inspiration for our badge from.
