Very excited. Only concern is Leverkusens public whoring of the deal, presumably with a view to raising interest.

It's optimistic but after jj said there maybe be a few more surprises:

------------------Hugo
Trippier Toby Verts Rose
---------Kramer Bentaleb
Son Eriksen Bera
-----------------Kane

Then with our bench consisting of 7 from:
Vorm
Dier
Wimmer
Walker
Davies
Mason
Alli
Njie
Pritchard
Chadli

Been on a bayer Leverkusen fans forum, seems they're mixed about him leaving

Says quite a lot about his character from when he'd rather darkest day of the most important game of the season for Medi-Check to London, but to support his team. The price is right also.Wines him no tears.Brandt and Mehmedi replace him loose.

may at sonny not forget that the parents have since always played a major role.He himself had always been the aim PL and has openly communicated.clearly is the time not particularly happy, but it's just the last week transfer.if he really brings to the 30 million, I'm happy and wish him well!

In the end all of them have what they want.

Son wants in the BPL, we get a lot of money (25-30 million) and a replacement is already in existence (Brandt, Mehmedi)

Son still desires all the best in England.

And we focus soon back on the CL

Völler stammering in sky interview and has told everything.Son will go 25 to 30 million, the not even on the bench, let alone in the stadium he has disappointed me very Son of today. The dissolving differently

He would also sometimes to his place to fight here .... but well PL is dependent PL .... still had a good time Sonny, Take care!I wish you success.

Edit: looking on there, they're talking about us bidding 30 million euros since yesterday afternoon.

Just woke up to this news halfway across the world in Melbourne. Never a dull moment with our Spurs it seems (other than our football)

On reddit plenty of German fans spoke very highly of him. They say he has consistency problems sometimes but when in form he's amazingly good. Lots of people say they don't want him to leave the Bundesliga or that he's their fav player etc.

You look at the quality of the goals he's scored, his attributes, and the fact he's scored 41 bundesliga goals by the age of 23 and it's hard to imagine how anyone would say he's poor. May have struggled for form or consistency but if he matches that output here he will be glorified (e.G. Bolasie who's scores much less). Any WF averaging 1 in 3 is a major asset.

I also like the linkup with the striker in the video above, promising for Kane.

But that is pretty much how we play so perfect fit. We are the 2nd or 3rd most ball dominant team last year I think, and we play high line high up the pitch, or are trying to. Also sometimes suicidally.

And West Brom play to Berahino's strengths, using his pace on the break. That's one of my issues, I don't think he's the type of player suited to the type of games we have, especially at home where opponents sit back and condense space in the final third, he isn't clever or tricky, he can do people for pace (or a shift and shoot) but as we've seen a gizzilion times with the likes of Lennon, Defoe and Townsend, that becomes pretty moribund when there are 18 bodies condensed into the final 30 yards of pitch.

Excellent usage of moribund.

Wowsers

Gotta remember that the premier league is huge in Korea, big pull for Korean players after Park at manure

Love this signing, he's a very exciting talent, sure to get bums off seats (and sell merch - bonus)

He runs at defenders, something we haven't seen at Spurs since Bale left

Does it count when your given an "optimistic rating" from 'mikeeegreen'?

I haven't watched a ton of this player, but is he really that good? It seems like bayerns fans aren't particulary sad about him leaving, and i find this wierd considering how highly rated he seems to be here on SC.

I would love it if he came and tore up the league off course, but it also smell like a purchase where the goal is to raise our profile in asia.

It's probably just me worried over nothing since our track record on big money signings have been less than ideal though!

That's certainly an added benefit but I can assure you that's not the main reason for signing this guy - he's quality, simple as.

Son and Berahino would be incredible so hopefully JJ is spot on.

So much pace and goal threat in the side with Son, Berahino and N'jie. Then add Kane, Chadli and Eriksen and theres a lot of potential goalscorers.

Hopefully the dynamism of the three incomings mentioned unlocks the attacking football we are hoping for under Poch.

Very encouraging looking at the goal threats, just need to make sure they make the runs and our playmakers can give them the supply.

This would be a superb signing on all accounts. They show a lot of Bundesliga in China, so I have been able to watch a fair bit of him. He is a real threat and would instantly ignite our attack. His enormous commercial appeal is a very nice added bonus.

Yeah that is the concern.

Kane has shown a lot of vision to be fair, I'm sure he will be relishing having willing runners. Mason and Eriksen have shown vision too.

Difficult with the likes of Chadli and Lamela who despite being good players need a much better timed and accurate killer ball.

Kane

Berahino - Erksen - Son

Mason - Dier

You'd have to say attacking four look up there with best in the league but how do we expect to truly compete with a midfield that wouldn't be out of place in a mid table club?

Fingers crossed on an unexpected midfield option being linked to us akin to Son today.
I actually think it would be the below as team a & b but with players swapping teams depending on tactical requirements & form. I also think N'jie & Berahino would be ahead of Townsend for the RWF spot and ahead of Dembele unless we wanted him there for tactical reasons.

Kane
Chadli - Erksen - Son

or

Berahino
N'jie - Pritchard - Dembele
