Reading some of the comments on Leverkusen forums, they don't seem that gutted to let him go and pretty delighted with the supposed price they'll be getting. I think a fair few million has been added to his value by commercial opportunities his signing creates, and perhaps a better price to reflect his actual value would be around £15 million.

I wouldn't be too worried if their fans aren't gutted about his possible departure. I know plenty of people that weren't too sad to see VDV leave because of the money we were getting, even when Bale left we looked quids in. It's when you try to replace these players when you realise how good the player actually was.
