Seen him in person twice this year, and to be perfectly honest he's been anonymous both times, as said in the previous page, Bellarabi is a much more accomplished player, Son just shines on occasional moments

The son always shines on TV?

didn't see the final but he played well in the earlier games I saw, esp the two he scored v the Uzbeks. Still think he's erratic, but perhaps he could play up top if Harry needs a rest as well as across the three behind. Two footed, pace and decent in the air, though wouldn't be an out ball with markers like Skrtel, Cahill, Mertefooker breathing down his neck. Always a tiny chance Levy might surprise us. But I do know for a fact LG agreed to sponsor Leverkusen only because Son had signed for them, so depending on the length of contracts that could be a barrier to him moving on and even possibly coming our way.

This player excites me massively. A forward who would be comfortable playing left or right side, along with the striker role. IMO he is the exact player we need, he provides pace and power and goals, with 2 great feet....

As an additional bonus, the guy is like the golden boy of Asian football right now, easily one of the most popular players there at the moment and would be very good to help build up our Asian fanbase, much like United did with Park, and Arsenal do with Miyachi?..

Would love this signing tomorrow, I think he could provide us with the diversity and quality we need to push for the top 4, has the pace and trickery to cause defenders a real problem

Plus shirt sales would cover a hefty chunk our outlay I'd imagine.

I've been thinking of the kind of player that would best suit Spurs as a forward for next season. At the moment I can't think of a better player than Son. He can play the central striking role if Kane is injured or needs a rest. He can also play out wide - and he scores.

If a decent, young, player is to join us then he needs to know that he will play and progress. Kane is now locked in as our striker starter. But we do need an alternative striker. Both Kane and Son could play together with Son playing wide, right or left. And Son could play the central striking role also.

An ideal situation in my opinion.

I'm hoping that the Club will fully explore this possibility in the coming months.

Does he fit the new concept of signings as posted by Grey Fox?

Doesn't link up well enough with his teammates. Scores goals but doesn't offer much else.

Spurs need to find players who fit the playing philosophy, who can both create chances and score goals.

I'd say that he does. He's young - and is scoring at the rate of a goal every other game this season. That's 16 goals in 32 games. Pretty good I'd say.

He's hitting double figures again this season - that's 3 seasons in a row now in the Bundesliga. Not bad for someone who's still only 22. We should be all over this guy imo.

Question is if he'd want to leave Leverkusen for us. Leverkusen can provide better European football opportunities (although Bundesliga is tight right now) and while we could likely offer more in wages, I'm not sure by how much. I just don't think we're a big enough step up (if we really are one) to turn his head. More likely we'd have to turn Leverkusen's head with a big $ offer.

Think that this guy would be the ideal signing for us. Perhaps behind lacazette In terms of who would be the absolute ideal and in a 'we're in champs league, money no object' world but definitely wouldn't be upset to see him join us in the summer.
