Had much to do with Europa. Both full backs travelled to bloody Moscow three days ago - they couldn't run the channels as expected and it cost us big time.

there was perhaps 1 or 2 players from thursday starting today. what more do you want?

Not particularly suicidal after the loss, personally, but would have liked to have seen some youth travel rather than have a fatigued first team.

Russia, Norway, Romania - got to manage the squad.

The loss had nothing to do with europa

This. Pure and simple.

The team that started today had 4 players in it that started on Thursday. Those players weren't tired out or carrying injuries from that game and we didn't lose today because of any particular player.

We had a bad day at the office and were, as much as I hate to say this, outsmarted tactically by Fat Sam.

Just because the players didn't start on Thursday doesn't mean that it didn't affect them. Flying all the way to Russia and back is obviously going to affect you.

Why we brought so many of our first team is baffling. It should have been the starting X1 for that game and the youth team.

What people are also overlooking is that AVB and the majority of the 1st team are preparing for a game in fucking Russia which means they aren't preparing altogether for our premier league games. West ham would have had all week to study DVDs and have their tactics drilled into them all week, we've had probably just over 24 hours.

No coincidence that in my opinion that Liverpool are playing 1 game a week and are putting all their efforts into that 1 game whereas we are seemingly concentrating on how best to deal with a bunch of cow farmers from Moscow.

Fuck the Europa league and fuck it off quickly!!

That is exactly what Champions League teams have to do. If we can't handle the EL and the PL how are we going to manage to juggle the CL and PL?

Fuck the Europa league and fuck it off quickly!!

Because two League Cups in 20 years gives us the right to be picky when it comes to trophies. Arsenal have lost world class players because they're so focused on qualifying for the CL that they've overlooked winnable trophies. Yes players want to play in the CL but they also want to win things.

The biggest problem we have is our team hasn't gelled due to the amount of new faces. Them playing less games together is only going to prolong the problem.

any fan that would rather not win a trophy in order to try and finish 4th to get into a competitoh they have pretty much no chance of winning is a disgrace.

also, if we do then get into the Champions League, should we also not bother and use our reserves and kids instead, so that we can finish 4th again? besides which, as many have already pointed out, today had absolute zilch to do with Thursday. have some fucking sense, people.

Totally agree. Most of that side was in moscow whether playing or not. Got back in on Friday and probably rested until yest afternoon before looking at this match.

For me the problem is that to play this system we need to rest our wing backs and we aren't able to do that at the moment. We already screwed up by not keeping bae and allowing ourselves into this situation where once rose was injured we had nobody else. This also means that Walker is pretty crucial and yet he plays almost every game at the moment plus he travels with England.

Also at cb we are pretty light and Chiriches is going to have to step up it seems. Everywhere else we have the depth to rotate and avb needs to do that.

I'd love to see spurs win the EL but at the same time the CL is the next step and we need to be playing in it. At this stage of the EL I see no reason why we should be playing first team players. Our second 11 should be strong enough to get through. Later in the competition then maybe bring in the key players but the league is the focus imo.

Can not understand " fans" who would rather finish among the runners up ( top four) than actually win a trophy. :(
