 oh calm down, i said he looked like a donkey against hearts, and he did.

oh but he got no service blah blah blah, funny how pav saw plently of the ball and wasted plenty of decent chances, and thats because he knew to come for the ball and move into space making it easy to get and those chances

if Kane makes it at spurs...actually if Kane makes it in the premier league ill eat all of my underwear

Watch the match again and look at both of their runs, kane made the better runs but we never picked him we just put in to area, also townsend was the only one making crosses in that game

I dont think his physique is that developed:

This from DefchenKoe on the Inter nextgen game

Two good finishes by Coulibaly, also some decent all round play. He is really small but quite strong and has an incredible leap so heading isn't a problem for him.

Have a look at him. He might not be very tall (maybe 5' 7" or so) but he's a feckin unit

Not ready though. He needs to realise there's more to life than shooting

he supposedly made the better runs but was never picked out, yet Roman was a number of times, you have to wonder why that is

personally, i hate it when the kids get hyped up on this website. Lets wait until we've seen `Core-blimey' before Christening him Didier Drogba II.

Saw Jimmy Greaves play for Chelsea at 17 and knew he would make it.If he and Duncan Edwards and Bobby Charlton are too old for you to remember,then the same could apply to ;
Rooney ,Wiltshire,Gazza ,and Hoddle who by the time they were 18 made it obvious that they were going to be great players.
If this kid is as good as his hype ,I would expect him to be in the first team squad next season ,making sub appearances and a proper squad member by the time he is 18.

As my dad always tells me.... Trevor Francis was 16 when he was playing first team football and if you're good enough you're old enough.

We'll see, hopefully the lad will impress enough in training to get some CC football and his performances will see him make it on to the PL bench at some point.

If he doesn't make it to the first team this year it should be expected though and not anything to be discouraged about.

watch the match again, the wingers did not look up ad try to find a player they were drilling the ball in to the box,

Agreed

We are loaded with good young kids. You can't read Windy and not get excited. I have as much interest in Next Gen as I do the Europa

And you are right, we do need to hold steady until some of these kids are ready. That's a very sensible plan. But I worry that under the conditions of win or be fired, these kids won't ever be ready. Yes, that's right, I just took umbrage with something that has to do with Levy.....I am not a robot. But you do need all age ranges. We are 28-32 year olds and nothing in between. Let's just say that having Adebayor make your strike force younger is Eek. They are all old. Even VDV is getting up there.

Everybody asks why Arsenal bought Cesc when they have Thiago coming through....but this is why

Xavi 31
Iniesta 27
Cesc 24
Thiago 21

They were bridging a gap.

I'm not trying to compare our teams, only showing that they see the cycle and that it has to be refreshed. Are we going to get rid of all of our midfielders and then bring in all these kids en masse. We can't. So we need to bridge gaps and that might be a concern. In two years, Kranky Pienaar and Parker are all 30ish, unsellable and taking up space on our bench. Meaning we have to go and sell Sandro to make space for a kid. Well Modric will be gone by then, but that's only one slot.

I know what you're saying but look at those players, cesc had to leave to continue his development, and also Barca have had this plan to bring in youth since pep was brought throughout by cryuff we have struggled to bring one player in and the only one other than king has been o hara when he went from league one to beating newcastle in a week iirc

Barca also were desperate to buy cesc as atm the team only plays well when xavi gets them ticking

Back to our squad, alot of players they have been here for a while still are young like: Kaboul 25, Bale 22, Huddlestone 24, Lennon 24, Modric 25, Bassong (if he gets back his form of CL season most defiantly still be here) 25, Corluka 25, Sandro 22 and GDS 22

That is a alot of important players for us as well as some who have the potential to be important for us, also worth noting that gomes is young considering the age of Hellboy

Nice neutral review here. Sounds promising. Liking what I am hearing from mnay different sources on this kid. The fact that he is making headlines already speaks volumes I think. Its always easy for fans to get carried away with their youth prospects, ever fan of every club does it. But when others are payign attention, you know you have a potential star on your hands.
Probably why we disregarded Wickham I feel, we know we have striking potential on our books already. An injury or two, and we might just get to see what Coulibaly & Kane are made off.

Did you check my signature baby? ;-)

yep, and i stand by it. saw nothing 90 mins against a 2nd string hearts team that makes me think that he wont be destined to the fate of having a nice short 'all the best' message written about him on the official site in a few years as he departs to play for Yeovil Town
