Even when Real Madrid got hammered the other day Modric got on the ball all the time trying to get things moving. Eriksen just watched that game go by, even when we dominated.
Modric is x10 the player of Eriksen, the mental strength of the guy (after being voted worse player after his first season in Madrid) is unreal, never shys away

Poch needs to be humble and think about where he’s gone wrong this season. Why he thought we couldn’t improve the squad within our budget, why the team has lost the belief in itself that he’d previously inspired, and what he can do to get us back on the right track.

Two seasons ago was the best Tottenham side I’ve ever seen. Last season felt like we’d managed the Wembley year well and we’d set up a perfect summer where we could invest in some good players and freshen things up before going into the new stadium. Being stuck at Wembley coupled with a failure to make that investment has taken us onto a negative path.

This is clearly our worst season under Poch. I have confidence in him to turn it around but it really does feel like this summer will be the moment of truth for him. We can’t keep muddling on like this, getting worse every season.

Our whole backline was pretty horrendous. Don't think singling any of them out is fair as they all deserve a share of the blame. They picked a bad match to have a collective terrible day. You just can't get away with performances like that against an uber attacking force of Austin, Long, Simms, Redmond and Armstrong. That's a huge task on a great day!
They were put in a positon to fail Every time we play against a 343 with a back four we've looked useless because we get out numbered. It doesn't excuse the stupid mistakes they made, but a lot of the bad defending was because of a back four rather than three.

And people wonder why we get labelled as legends. Because we fkin are thats why.
We play with such fucking arrogance it makes me sick. Its only when theres 5min left and we've blown the game we actually go for the throat.
The mentality is all wrong imo and it doesn't help when your manager persists in telling the world that cups dont matter and thinks he can change the starting 11 and formation EVERY FUCKING GAME and we'll still be as good!!!
They can all fuck off in the summer as far as I'm concerned Poch included.
We'll never win a fkin thing with this bloke in charge but thats ok because ot doesnt matter apparently.
Mr Levy, youve moved this club into a state of the art stadium but are so fkin stupid that in the most important transfer window in a century you decide to not spend a penny on players! A first by anyone anywhere ever. Honestly you couldnt fucking make it up.
How much investment do you think your new stadium is gonna pull when we finish outside the top 4 and are playing Thursday evenings to a half empty stadium?
You cant open the cheque book now mate. Its too fucking late. Nobody decent is gonna come to us now and the few top players we have are all gonna fuck off.
What a fuckin tool.
So pissed off right now.
That result may have just changed the future of this club.

So do you actually have some proof that Levy was not going to spend last two transfer Windows? And even if he didn't, it has absolutely nothing to do with like today or against Burnley.

And honestly. I love us being in the Champions League. But is it the end of the world if we are in the Europa next season? Of course not. Some of my favourite games have actually been in the Europa. Young players on the pitch. Great support with no particular pressure or expectations on us. Kane's first appearances and hat-trick, Lamela's rabona, Bale's free-kicks, Dembele's winner in Lyon. Hopefully we're in the UCL - and I still make us strong favourites for it, because a season is 38 games rather than 4 - but if we're not I'll still be there, having fun and supporting Spurs. Who knows - maybe it'll be the stage where Jack Roles, Troy Parrott or Samuel Shashoua becomes the next big thing for us. That's the fantastic side of football.
Trouble is, we have always been really shit in the Europa League. Never got beyond the quarters in about a million attempts.
One thing's for sure-fire it's going to be hard to justify the highest prices in the league when we're not playing CL.

Just as I've got my 5 year old granddaughter cheering on Spurs for the first few times this past month, they go and pull shit form like this and leave her wondering why we seldom win.

Feck it. I'm off to kick a Squirrel in the gonads and leave the toilet seat up in no particular order. (n)

They're also completely different players, so not a good comparison.

That’s more a failure of Poch and the coaches to get the players motivated.

Even in the past when we’ve invested in the squad, we’ve still shot ourselves in the foot by being complacent. It’s an underserved arrogance that we’ve had for far too long.

A bit of that but also the players are out on their feet.

It’s an even worse decision considering the the World Cup and it’s effects.

We need to play Dele in CM until we can bring somebody in.

Can't 've having zero footballingcability in the middle of the park and expect to get top 4.

That games shows how much we miss Alli. As soon as he started to fade and was subbed we looked so vulnerable.

We had no plans.. We tried to score but we didn't try fucking hard enough. We defended but we didn't defend fucking hard enough. Everyone was just follow through motion. There was no shape and leadership.

Rising to occasions didn't mean just beating the better teams in Europe and basked in glory. When simpler occasions call to just put in more shifts in but they did not, they are just as good as the worse they had been.

Such losses really put all those great victories to shame...

guess we have very different way of looking at it, I dont think I could clap off a team after that performance, but guess I also want my team to win things, and become a side with winning mentality, not accept stuff like that.
We all want that. But for some reason I don't think that calling the team Spursy, legends, pathetic, cowards, shit, disgraces etc is particularly likely to help them play well or win things. It'd be a different matter, perhaps, if we were watching a side phoning it in, hurtling towards the destruction of the club and not giving a fuck. But we're not. We're watching players who've been at Spurs for years, in some cases their entire adult lives. Who've improved the team's fortunes immensely in the last few seasons. Who could reasonably expect to be 6th given the resources put into the squad, but are instead 3rd, about to play a Champions League Quater-Final - as well as we've done in Europe for 35 years - and yet get abused because they don't always win, and aren't winning the title ahead of a financially doped superclub financed by modern slavery, human rights abuse and dictatorship. A lot of them, frankly, are not the most talented footballers ever to grace the earth - but that's all the more reason to support them when they're trying their best to hold their own at the very top.

what we are seeing at the moment is not a bottle job it is a collapse, I was really not looking forward to this three week lay of as it never seems to help us, but this time it might actually help, we've got no rhythm or momentum at the moment so it might be just what we need. I would also like all of our training sessions done in the new stadium to get the feel of it before it counts.

People talking about Poch to United/Madrid..he wouldn't get away with that shit at either of those. As great as he is he has much to learn too.
I wish he would fuck off to Madrid he couldn’t manage a piss up in a brewery at the moment. We’ve had injuries fair enough but the rot has developed since the fa cup defeat saying it’s not important and the negativity has spread through the club like a virus I was at the Chelsea game recently and I couldn’t believe my eyes after the trippier own goal they all walked around with their heads down completely gave up and all the while poch stood on the touchline with his arms folded.inspector clueless
