Sounds like Southampton had a pretty heavy game today. Fingers crossed they'll be a little leggy.

Yes folks, get your fire sticks ready for Tuesday.

I can't remember the last time I was happy to see both Kane and Sonny taken off early to protect their next vital match. Good move from Tony.

I was tempted to sit in the home end for this one as we did in 2020. As on amazon and with current Covid situation a bit unknown I will resist but there were plenty of seats available on last view

Don't give away silly fouls or JWP will punish us on set pieces. Play it smart and we win this.

Yes, apart from him, I don't see how they can really hurt us, especially if we play with the same level of defensive resolve we've been showing these past few weeks. At this rate, Romero will have a job getting back into the defence when he's fit, and that's exactly as it should be.

I know it's only early days but things are just starting to look up, so well done all the players and well done too to Conte and his coaching and back-room staff. It looks like his influence is really starting to take effect.

The way Southampton play, they really do play into our hands.

If they push up and leave space in behind it could be a bit of a goal fest (for us).

I imagine it will be son, Kane and bergwijn. Lwb is the issue for me, I can't see him playing reguillon again, because he is probably knackered. Doherty will probably feature and winks/ndombele.

Pity sessegnon is injured.

As I said in the Palace match thread, I assume that we'll rotate a bit, particularly in CM. Otherwise what was the point in playing both PEH and Skipp today when we could have had one for each game plus one or more of TN / Winks / Dele

Or, indeed, swapped one/two out at half time when 2-0 and a player up

Wouldn't be surprised to see both wingbacks, both centre mids and 1/2 forwards all rotated. Probably Ben Davies to come in for Tanganga as well. Probably the only game all season we will see such drastic rotation but that's the nature of the 48 hour beast

Id liek to stick with the front three - theyre all connecting and forming a great trio.

I think Winks will play this game.

Davies to come back alongside Dier (who is indispensible at the minute) and Sanchez.

Reggie and Emerson as wing backs.

I think the PEH position is the one up for grabs.. Will it be Skipp and Winks - will Skipp play?

Do need to win though.

I would be surprised if the 3 players subbed off today didn't start.

Hopefully Sessegnon isn't out for too long and Reguilon can play a few games back to back.

We might just see Davies and Doherty in for Tanganga and Emerson

Kane definitely starts, I don't think Conte would have subbed him off at 60 today otherwise. I think it'll be him, Bergwijn and Son.

Agree that at least one of the CM's and both wingback will be rotated and Davies will return.

I think we will have too much for them, they battled until the 96th minute for the points today, we effectively had it wrapped up after 40 minutes. Plus I don't think they'll have the luxury of being able to freshen things up as much as us.

If Lucas starts then it’s a midfield 2 and Skipp and PEH are the only two he trusts for that. But a chance for this that he rests Moura and gives Winks & Dele a run out alongside one of OS or PEH. Possible also that Doherty gets a run and Emerson a rest. And Davies will return obviously.
