They are best team in the world, officially, other teams go to play them a different way than they normally would to try and negate their movement, passing etc. but my goodness how many games do you watch with Spain are the most boring you have ever seen?

Whether they are to blame or the opposition are for not opening up im not sure, but they are a real bore to watch in my opinion. The passing is excellent i admit but its so one sided and they very rarely do much with it. It annoys me when people purr over them as much as they do. And the amount of 1-0 victories they get says it all.

With Portugal in the semis (one of my faves of the tournament so far and my last remaining bet of tournament winners) I really hope that the Portuguese stick to the way they have been playing and force Spain to play a more attacking game and give us an epic semi final.

Summing up, I was hoping Spain wouldnt get this far for the good of the tournament

I thought they were excellent last night, you may be bored by their style of play and winning everything, but they are not boring.IMO.

Half of the problem is the opposition putting everyone behind the ball in every game they play.

They're one of the best teams ever.

They are rewriting football tactics as much as the Dutch Total Football. Playing and winning without a recognized striker.

Agree, I enjoy watching them play the skill level is superb, ball on the grass stuff.
Ramos has been very good at CB.
I much prefer watching this type of football, than Stoke etc.

I don't call it boring, I call it very effective.

Arsenal under George Graham, that was boring.

I'm pretty sure 'Polyvore' on here went through some complex mathematics and worked out that the best team in the world is actually Sweden.

I havnt been too impressed with Spain so far, i think they are missing a great striker who would compleate the team as they look a little lost in the final 3rd, though with Villa out this may be a big part as to why they are like this just now.

Alot of the games in the Euros so far havnt been that great, the final 3rd play and the movement in the final 3rd has been so poor, i had been expecting it to be alot better.

They have two on the bench! Llorente and Negredo. Soldado didn't even get in the squad!

Sorry i did mean to say they had Llorente but dont seem to want to play him! i havnt seen much of Negredo so cant say if he would make much of a diffrence, but Llorente would make a diffrecne as you said.

Sorry but 400+ passes sideways isn't interesting to watch. It might be because the opposition are putting so many players behind the ball or it might because they aren't playing with a striker but either way it's not gripping to watch. Spain may well be the best team in the world they just aren't the best team to watch in the world.

My view exactly, the idea seems to be to have so much possesion that other teams dont even get enough of the ball to create chances, im not saying its wrong, you win how you can, juat frustrating when everyone drools over them

I find them very boring to watch. I find Barca very boring to watch until they give it to players that aren't actually Spanish! ( Messi obviously and last season, Sanchez, they kick it up a notch then )

They aren't rewriting tactical history. Nothing like it. All been done before. EVERY system is flawed to a degree and will always come unstuck. Spain just happen to have a crop of world class players come through in seemingly every position, all at the same time, which makes it a hell of a lot easier to achieve success.
They will fall, no doubt. I hope it's this year. As I say, boring to watch and the most arrogant, ignorant, flaky fans in the game.

the most ''technically challenging''team in the world

spain are my no1 team, but i do think they look more boring when villa is not available, or when they refuse to use llorente(but then he would be a spectator like torres).

they are extra boring at the moment, because they are missing their preferred striker and also their defence is not a strong one. if they played any other way at the moment it would be the wrong option to be fair.

Appreciate your opinion, but having just watched Englands finest, give me Spain every time.

yeah, the ease with which they dispatched France is boring. One goal is usually enough, and they know it. Once they got the lead they were content to knock the ball around and dare France to try to score. They play the game like it should be played - pass and move.
