The score glossed over another insanely boring 70 minutes of football where;
A) We again didn't have a shot on target
B) We fully deserved to be behind.
The problem is, I don't think Poch will change it. He'll start again with 4231, with 2 defenders effectively occupying the 2. The striker will be isolated.Lets hope this was a turning point, Poch's substitutions changed the game, both strikers who played scored. We showed grit to fight back to win. And Mason scored a worldy, so many positives despite the poor earlier parts of the game.
Lets hope the players don't go back to overconfidence in the next match. We seem to swing between lacking confidence and over confidence. We need a happy medium.
I think Townsend was far worse than Bentaleb.That was dire last night and I actually told my missus I wanted Forest to score so that we didnt scrape a win and paper over the cracks. After they scored and we made the substitutions we vastly improved. In my opinion Bentelab was our worst player, maybe its due to not playing but he just constantly gave the ball to the opposition. After Sunday someone was calling for Ben Davies to be playing over Rose, and I just wonder if some people want their team selections on reputation rather than form. But I fail to see anyone to praise from last night plus the jury is certainly still out on our new centre half.
The thing with Townsend he really does need to be more than a one trick pony. How he got Sky's MOTM is beyond me. Personally I would have given it to Mason for his 26 minute cameo.I think Townsend was far worse than Bentaleb.
Don't think those cracks can be papered over. The good thing is our shit mentality and player mediocrity is being revealed to poch. And Mason came on and showed our multi million 'stars' up.That was dire last night and I actually told my missus I wanted Forest to score so that we didnt scrape a win and paper over the cracks. The free kick looked great for sure. Still, didn't score so meaningless really. (Yes I'm being harsh)Free kick that deserved a goal, shot and assist for Soldado's goal (wasnt he on target?) and though when he shoots and is way off its soooo frustrating, at least we get SOME goal atempts whereas we arent getting any with anyone else. I may have missed anything Benteleb did well as I was so bored with the whole thing.
I'm no Bentaleb fan, but I reckon he at least made a few decent tackles/interceptions
They're more useful than running in to dead ends and kicking the ball out of play.

The best we can hope for playing like that is to not concede many.
On the other hand, if we sacrifice the defensive qualities of one of those "2" then we open ourselves up to be slaughtered.
Then again, the additional attacking threat may push them back.
My brain hurts.
