Spurs and aberdeen are linked becasue of the bother years.. the more recent Spurs/Rangers link is becasue of footballer playing for both.

Any set of fans that worship Gazza are on my side as far as i'm concerned

i have always followed and admired Rangers since the passion i saw from their fans when Spurs played Rangers in Europe in 1962/3.

Fabulous.

Never known nor felt felt any connection with Aberdeen.

C'mon the Gers !

We are the people !

Apparently it was to do with a load of aberdeen(onians?) Who came down to build canary wharf and a lot of spurs fans were also building it and it just went from there with them helping out in the odd punch up while they were down

Never have liked the link between us and Aberdeen, since I'm a Glaswegian who's Scottish team is Dundee Utd. ( Spurs having been my first and proper love since 1990 ).

Please refrain from calling Rangers fans `Hun` supporters mate , its highly offensive.

I have to say, both 'Tim' and 'Hun' are used without any offence taken, and in good jest, the vast majority of the time. Friends, people who work along side each other, even most normal strangers, will call each other by those names, without thinking twice about it either way.

The only instance where it may spark something, is where the hardcore element of each team are present at the same time, in a volatile situation, genuinely hating upon each other and using the phrase in amongst torrents of verbal vile and abuse being directed at each other. The umbrage can be only taken with the intent.

To that effect, since we are all friends here, and since there was no malicious intention by the poster saying 'Hun', I can't really see how it could be seen as offensive.
