Spurs and Daniel Levy are adamant they won't sell Harry Kane to Man United or Chelsea

In the 33rd minute of Thursday night’s draw at Tottenham, the travelling Manchester United supporters burst into song. ‘Harry Kane, we’ll see you in June,’ they roared.
Over Daniel Levy’s dead body, or at least that’s the message transmitting from inside’s Tottenham control room. Regardless of Kane’s contractual situation, he isn’t leaving; certainly not to a Premier League rival - at least that is what we are led to believe.

If that's Levy's stance he really has to deliver something that could tempt Kane to sign a new deal. I expect him to go full throttle for Nagelsmann and hope he can deliver the goods otherwise it could be yet another own goal.

If you're Kane, you're leaving regardless what Levy offers. Too many false dawns and no way Levy allows him to enter final year of contract potentially leaving for nothing.

Levy doesn't have any power in this situation.

Kane needs to go and win something, he deserves it.

Wasn't Nagelsmann in charge when Bayern started making strong overtures into trying to sign Harry Kane.

You were spot on until the last line. It's not so much that he deserves or needs to win something, it's that he must have the professional pride and hunger to be involved in properly performing clubs rather than performing to such a high level at a team/club that is careening around like a headless chicken. No amount of money or promise of statues and testimonials will overcome this key issue.

Levy has almost no power over Kane's thinking now. He can't persuade him with the Spurs 'project' because the last four years have been so grim relative to where we were AND we've had to change direction so often since the highly competitive side we used to be. The idea that Nagelsmann becoming manager would persuade him to sign on at this juncture is naive I think. Conte was thought to have a similar effect and didn't. I don't think any manager coming in would affect Kane's current position.

So Kane will get his move this summer if Levy wants a fee for him. Or he stays another year and goes to the best available option to him. I don't know which of those two options is better for Spurs.

The only way I see him signing on at Spurs again is at the end of his current contract after a season that has gone swimmingly under a new manager that looks to have club-wide support and some sustainability.

I'm not sure you understand how contracts work.

Exactly. But I doubt one good season will convince him to commit to what will be his final chance at winning serious silverware.. and beating Shearer's record.

He's got the Spurs record goalscorer under his belt so as long as he stays in the Premier League, he can beat Shearer's record. And why not make sure you do that with better more creative players around you and a better chance at winning trophies..It's a no brainer!

He's gone next summer for sure but I'll take a punt and say Levy won't want to lose him for nothing and the new manager won't want to build a team only to lose the talisman a year later. So, 1 year left or not.. he's going this summer!
