Spurs are preparing to make another bid for Everton winger Anthony Gordon

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to make another bid for Everton winger Antony Gordon, and have hatched a genius plan to get the deal over the line. Spurs are looking to offer £20m for Gordon, but as part of that deal, they’re also willing to write off a £10m payment owed by the Toffees for Dele Alli. It would take the total deal to around the £30m mark but would see Spurs spend just £20m from this summer’s budget.

I like gordon - one of the few to come out with some credit at everton last season.
Why everton would sell now after the ffp date has passed is strange, but maybe as we registered interest/started negotiations before the cutoff, payment can be recorded/posted back to that period?

Not a conte blood and steel type player though.

Why!?

We are something like 5 players under for home grown players for the CL (it’s better for PL). We HAVE to ‘swap’ some of our players for equivalent (at least) standard home grown ones. And what sort of good/promising home grown talent is out there and available?

Gordon is a top talent. PL experience (proven) Big upside. If we could essentially swap him for Stevie or Lucas, we have to.

These rules and regulations are real. Would prefer Gordon to Lingard.

Some news that Bergwijn to Ajax is done at 30m. Could be true. Put that towards Gordon I guess, although I'd like us to have a go at Dwight McNeil in the HG catagory. Everton would have to be desperate to sell Gordon imo.

I've been under the impression that Everton had to sell Richarlison to meet FFP.

There have been a few murmurs of financial issues connected to their stadium. I wonder if their financial issues go deeper than we know.

Probably, although we were told Inter were deep in the shit at the end of last month without a cash injection, and that turned into a bunch of nothing.
