The entire 1st team are at Cheltenham race-course today, being led into the VIP area by Ledley King, guess the champagne will be flowing and some serious wagers flying around. :beer:

no pictures but the source is my best mate, who seen them with his very own eyes, waiting in line for a ticket and looked up to see Luka and Corluka laughing and joking and then the rest of the team strolling thru to the VIP enclosure / boxes. Will see if he managed to get any pics when i speak to him later.

I have no problem with this at all so long as they don't drink too much. They've played so many games recently and a bit of bonding is never a bad thing. Just wish I'd been there too.

champagne won't of been flowing... Redknapp has already said he won't accept them drinking, so I doubt anyone will be pushing him on that front... but yes I bet there was alot of money being thrown round

I do worry about the lads. I'm sure there are so many footballers who gamble more than they'd like to admit, and actively encouraging this sort of thing may even give a few more a taste of it. They're young lads with more money than they know how to spend, and gambling is often a good way of getting from 1 training session to another without dying of boredom. Bentley is a self confessed gambling addict who beat his problem when he was younger. I just think it's fucking dumb if true.

The lads have played ok lately and maybe a little reward and some appreciation will help team bonding even further, i dont understand why people are always so negative!! Give em a break for gods sake.. So its ok if people in other jobs go on these type of days out but footballers are not allowed!!

I bet 10% of footballers in the Premiership would have a gambling problem. Thats just guessed from playing football myself and seeing how many ppl i know gamble, have had problems or tell me about thier big wins, but not thier big losses.

p.s. im all for our players having a day out.
