Sorry if mentioned before but apparently some American tourists were also attacked and rumours are it wasn't Lazio Ultra's and it was just Hardcore Right Wingers

As my Chelsea mate told me today, lazio will only do it the day before a game, when the away fans numbers are small, on the day when the away fans turn up, you wont see then little Lazio C**ts..

Your mate is an idiot. Not only does he support Chelsea, but two Man U fans were stabbed on the way to the game;IIRC outside the stadium just before kick off.

Absolute wankers. Lazio fans are well known to be violent. Italians are nothing like these people. Thoughts go to the fans who have been injured and the fans who have travelled there for the game. I hope that nothing else occurs.

These 'fans' of Lazio are a disgrace to their club and country and are an embarrassment to world football.

It is this kind of activity in my opinion which should get at least the club banned from participating in European competition.

Has lazio said anything?
Lotito, the Lazio president, is trying to distance the club from the attack stating that such events should be condemned but he says that Lazio fans had nothing to do with the attack. He believes that people should take a step back until those responsable are identified. I don't know if he knew then that 6 suspects have been caught. We'll see soon I guess, or rather this being Italy, we might not.

Digos (Division of General Investigations and Special Operations - State Police), does not exclude that the attackers consisted of persons from ultra groups of different clubs, united by anti-semitism and racism. This seems a little far fetched, maybe.

Though, in Italy, any old hypothesis is trundled out immediately with barely any evidence, even by the authorities, as the auths, people in positions of power and organisations try to avoid responsibility for their inadequacies. The Mayor of Rome, an ex-(sic) Fascist, Alemanno, is trying to distance his office, stating that it was an episode of hooliganism transported from the stadium to the heart of Rome. He also says only the prompt action of the police stopped events from being even more serious, though eye witness accounts, from residents and others, state that there was no interventiion from the police for 20-30 mins.

Out of the 100 or so i bet the majority were both italian and lazio supporters. Or did it have nothing to do with football and gangs of over a hundred just go round attacking tourists? Yeah rihht.

I think 100 might be an exaggeration. 30-40 seems to be the official view at least. Though many in helmets and very tooled up, which isn't usual for a night out in Campo dei Fiori, so it appears very much to have been planned and organised.

It's worth pointing out that the ultra groups are socially and politically active in many cases, and that often they are the right wing, anti-semitic, racist groups, too. I wonder how many of the 10 Spurs fans attacked were Jewish or how many of them the group of attackers thought there might be? Though fascists tend to be morons so who knows what goes through their feverish minds. Still sounds like it's bound up with Lazio ultras and football to me. Weren't they pally with their counterpart Chelsea morons a few years back?

If you actually watch some clips of ultra's and hooligans talking about us and they refer to Tottenham as the jewish club and the jews, and in my experience racists normally dont ask you your race before they do something stupid

Doesnt matter what the fuck Lazio say about this, wheter they are fans or not. Lazio should be kicked the hell out of all European cups for the next decade and if Italian fans so much as sneeze all Italian clubs should be banned for the next decade.

End fucking off!

Nasty stuff. Hope everyone makes a full recovery.

Always longed for a European away day during my ST yrs. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones after all.

Its why I dont go to European games tbh as our fans will most definitely be targeted and having olive skin doesn't exactly help me either. I dont think it is a European problem just more of a problem with a far right presence.

Yes that's a fair point, we aren't dealing with the most rational or decent of people. I did add a similar point to the post. I must admit I wasn't aware that we were so well known as a "Jewish" Club, which of course we aren't really, outside of Britain. Though that would still suggest that it's at least a football as much as an anti-semitic attack by Lazio, and maybe other moronic, ultra groups at best, from a Lazio football club point of view? Or rather as I suggest above that the two are bound together, and shouldn't be separated, for sociopolitical extremists such as Lazio's scummy ultras?

I went on a chelsea forum and ended up on a right wing football forum(I cant remember how) and can say we are very much hated by fans of clubs I never heard of
