Hey hey. I met up with some old uni mates on Saturday for our old tradition of watching the first day of the season together (its always easy for me as Spurs are never at home on the first day of the season) and went through the same frustrating afternoon as I'm sure so many of you did.

However, amongst the Arsenal and Liverpool fans I went to uni with, I was accompanied by a fellow Spurs fan who pissed me off more than any of the others. "Aww we're going down this season", he moaned when Wheater scored. I told him not to be so stupid and to shut up, but he continued (unaware of the beating I was to give him moments later), "Yeah we are. We've lost loads of players and brought nobody in". I couldn't be bothered to respond as I thought his comments were too stupid to dignify with any further dialogue. But it got me thinking, living in Milton Keynes, I know dozens of Arsenal fans, Chelsea fans (who of course sprung up from nowhere about 4 years ago), Liverpool fans , Man U fans etc. But sometimes, its the other Spurs fans I meet who really make me want to throw something at them. :bang:

Do any of the rest of you experience the same feeling of "shut up shut up shut up" when one of your fellow Spurs supporting mates decides to give his 2 cents worth on issues which, often, they clearly know so little about?

I sit near a few of them at the Lane...

But I do know some people who talk nonsense a lot of the time, and do nothing for the 'fickle deluded' reputation we have

I knew 5 or 6 Spurs fans at school (I grew up in York) which is strange as I never knew any Chelsea and only 1 Arsenal and 1 Liverpool, the rest were Leeds and ManUre yet I still go to games on my own because none of them ever go, they are the shittest 'fans' in the world.

Yep plenty of Spurs fans irritate me - on the forums it doesn't really matter -

but at the ground - those who boo our players, those who whinge and moan more they cheer and clap - those who give inane running commentaries and (usually spurious) analysis -when their main job as a fan is to be cheering singing clapping & generally supporting the team - and within the realms of legality and morality having a go at the oppo too

Yep I hate a lot of Spurs fans. My dad keeps telling me Berbatov is gonna leave. I bet him £2 he wouldn't, and every day he keeps telling me I might as well give him the money. I think he'll actually be glad when he does leave.

Those moaning about Berbatov are tossers as well. Like we'll be so much better without our best players.....

i think these are the worst! They speak on behalf of all spurs fans.

...but quite often they aren't actually Spurs fans at all.

Unlike the Spurs guy near me in the pub when I watched the Cup Final last year. I'm clinging to the fact that he'd clearly had a few - but no, he was just a twat. A little spindly guy. I was with a mate who's a huge Glaswegian, a Ger, and the spindly guy was offering him outside. He'd have been torn apart.
