very good indeed.

fulham have an away stand so that is kinda cheating cos if they had a normal layout they might not be able to fill it with home attendants?

loads of credit to the derby fans for sure, over 95 percent of ppl, to watch them get hammered each game.

Good job by us as well though.

I know we can only deal with what we have but it shows that as only the 9th highest avg EPL side in terms of gate we are a long way back in the field. Obviously past decisions or non decisions are still constraining us. To me are biggest error was failing to secure a ground sharing deal with Arsenal when it was a possibility. BTW I am a 600 gamer and a realist.

The problem with these attendance figures is they include the away fans. I'm sure that we've had 100% attendance from home supporters and any empty seats are from away fans from the less popular northern teams. That's true for most of the top 10 in that list.

To me are biggest error was failing to secure a ground sharing deal with Arsenal when it was a possibility. BTW I am a 600 gamer and a realist.

A what? I don't think there was ever a chance of a ground share with Arsenal and the fans would reject it immediately I'm sure.

Fair play to our fans  especially with the prices, no wonder they've put them up again.

We really need to increase our capacity, can you begin to imagine the £turnover we are missing out on compared to the top 2?

I hate to be a bogey man but i calculate our attendance to be 60% of arsenals.
Not that they have a better and bigger fan base but it does highlight to difference with 24,000 extra capacity, makes the case for the new stadium doesn't it.

I'd love it if only the bottom 2 in the league got relegated along with the team bottom in this table. Serve shit fans and crap clubs right.

That is a credit to the fans particularly since the team switched off after the CC.

great support from the fans as far as numbers go - still a lot of them are depressing serial moaners with a penchant for unfairly targetting certain players

as to the new ground - the problem is the cost versus return - there's obviously a problem there -

even extending our present ground - I remember some eye watering figures re the cost a few years back

The % is what needs to be looked at and the fact that the Woolwich's new stadium has been a big push for them - doesn't detail how many of those attending payed for their tickets though, huh? Or how many were corporate or guests? It's been quite clear that with the increased cap. they've also massively increased their corporate sector income - i'd rather have 40% of real fans over 100% of a bunch of people who couldn't care less.

Besides, wait til the novelty of that big sand-box wears off and the locals finally decide that all the bullshit they were fed isn't ever going to happen and they will have to live without a new sports centre, without a redeveloped station, without the club actually fulfilling any of the promises they made.

Give it two years, the area surrounding the stadium will be so run down, so full of depressed locals who can't actually afford to go to a game at the thing they live in the shadow of... then we'll see how "local" their concerns are.

Ten out of ten to the Rams fans though

Actually, ten out of ten to the Bolton fans too - they're voting with their feet up there, huh?

The most shocking thing about those figures is that almost a millions Newcastle fans actually PAID to go and watch them this season....

As said above fair play to the clubs who have struggled yet still had very good attendances,
and the 'fans' of Blackburn/Wigan and Bolton should hang their heads in shame!

I'd like to see gate receipt figures too .

When Gazza joined Spurs gate receipts were the highest in the country , more than Man Utd even .

Well said Steven. I think the mindset of our fans may have to change if we are to have any sustainability, and progress.

Well said Steven. I think the mindset of our fans may have to change if we are to have any sustainability, and progress. Under the current financial climate perhaps this may be revisited.
