what teams currently in the premiership try to play football that entertains, or try to, this might mean they go forward and dont score but try, leaving holes and get hit on the break. this also involves how much money the squad is worth and how they play, i dont mind teams that have just come up from the championship playing defensive counter-attacking football, but established premiership teams have no excuse, especially if they have 11 multi-million pound players. so for example -

Great entertaining football-

Manchester United, have the cash but still know how to put on a show

Liverpool, this season have got forward better, capable of destroying teams

Arsenal, for not much cash wenger has made a team that pass with style

West Brom, have given it a real go for no money, credit too them

Man City, still finding their feet, but when they do quality

Quality football, more attacking needed-

Spurs, unfortunately we have had to tighten up due to a poor start, but have some truly great moments in us, and are getting back to our best

Everton, struggled with injuries but with that amount of spending can't complain at the quality

Aston Villa, looked so good at the start but tailed off

West Ham, not bad, new manager, getting there

Fulham, playing very well but go defensive when playing the bigger teams

Struggling but trying to entertain

Newcastle, all over the place, but push forward and get hammered

Middlesborough, in the same situation as newcastle, attacking players just not working

Hull, great start, had real style, then nothing

Sunderland, have the players just can't get it to work, but dont just sit back all the time

Stoke, were dull and just had one trick, but have stepped it up

Portsmouth, since losing key players and manager, just got worse

Wigan, nearly there but still too defensive

Dull Dull football

Chelsea, how can you spend that much money on a team and get such dull football

Bolton, still hoofing over the top since 1877

Blackburn, sam allardyce, maybe he'll get some cash one day, and he'll prove he can play quality football

shouldn't teams try and entertain their fans?

West Brom dont play great entertaining football. They play neat and tidy football, pleasing on the eye, but no end product. Spurs are similar to Man City where at times we play top class attacking, fast paced, football. West Ham are just behind in that they also play some attractive football but lack a Lennon or Robinho. For entertainment i'd go in order of....Man Utd>Liverpool>Arsenal>Spurs>Chelsea>Man City>Aston Villa>West Ham>Newcastle>Everton

Bearing in mind that Newcastle are on there because they play open football, not because they're any good at it

it's based on how much money they've spent to get that quality too, which is why west brom are so high, as are everton and chelsea are so low

Everton bore me to death I am not watching the cup final. But Everton do not have much resources so they play in a way which is most affective for them. When they get the players Moyes wants they might play differently.

HUll have never had ANY style from day one they decsided they would scrap and fight and defend. Even when they were doing well they would always have 11 men behind the ball.

And I feel that resently we have been looking at the best football I have seen since I have been a swason ticket holder. Its fast, but most importantly its on the ground

Also villa arnt intertaining at all most of it is quite route one ofcource you have Young which is exiting when they get the ball but thats one player.

and Fulham also have a defencive set up. I belive these two and chelsea belong in a different catogory

Have you not watched west brom???! They get the ball down, pass and quick movement, its just they have no strikers of any quality. They are an entertaining team to watch

Chelsea are one of the dullest teams in the league to watch, as are Everton. I personally don't find Arsenal great to watch either, primarily because any team with an organised defence that gets stuck in or defends deep and they have little to no idea how to break them down other than to try quick little passes and hope a gap opens up.

Man Utd are streets ahead of everyone. Liverpool aren't that great, they just have two quality players that make them look good.

Tottenham have become a good team to watch in the second half of the season. the team has a nice balance to it now which works well.

Villa have good fast paced attackers which worked well earlier in the season but they seem to lack real skill or team work and just rely on pace and hitting teams on the counter.

Citeh are nice to watch when they get it right but horrible when it doesn't go well.

West Ham play good entertaining possession football but lack the cutting edge in the final third.

The rest aren't really remarkable.

Chelsea are dull, but they are effective.

I don't understand how West Brom are in the top bit. They play a decent brand, but they are hugely struggling (as the league table shows).

Agree absolutely. Although I admit I only saw highlights of our game against them, they took our much vaunted defence apart on numerous occasions. And if it hadn't been for Gomes, we'd have been screwed. With a top quality striker, they'd be challenging for the Europa Cup with us, imho.

as i keep saying this is about quality football per pound, which is why west brom, everton and arsenal are so high, and chelsea are at the bottom. when chelsea have paid the amount they have for the players, plus the wages on top, they should be far more entertaining. as for us we have spent alot and not been great all season but have had moments of brilliance, i'm looking forward to next season as long as we don't have a major clearout and just get a couple of decent signings, carew and bassong would be useful too :)
