That couldn’t have gone any better. 7th in Austria , home tie second, short journey, and hard draws for Man U and Arsenal. Perfect

I pride myself of following European football closely, but I have never heard of this club.
Yeah and this is why

Awesome, I used to live next to the wolfsberg training ground and play football with some of the kids at the academy after work. They were very good, we really had to put our height advantage to the best possible use.

Austrian teams have improved dramatically in the last few years, and they are developing some very good players these days, so we must not take it for granted. Wolfsberg are a club from a small town who were never any good until exploding in 2018. Like most Austrian teams they can give you a bloody nose if you are not careful, they got two draws against Roma last season and beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-0. We have to take it seriously, but they are not as good a team as LASK and we have no excuse.
Also, be careful of the one that the kids call the 'croatian', he joined us from the first team for a kick about, and oh my it was embarrassing. He could sure hit a ball (as well as dribble past half our team with ease). Though this was now 4 years ago. A lot of the kids I used to play with might now be on the fringes of the first team. It's a shame I can't really remember much about them.

It was funny at first, as we used to just go to an outdoor court for a kick about and these kids would join in, most of them early teens. The first time, we got a game going, they tore us to shreds, it was only later we learn that they were part of the Wolsberg academy, but it was a shock to the system playing these kids, and thinking, What is going on? Are we really that bad!

First leg sandwiched between City and West Ham away with the home leg preceding Burnley at home

Good that the home leg is on the Wednesday then, should give us a good few days rest before the West Ham game.

Also worth noting that if we get to the Carabao cup final it'll be the weekend after the home leg (replacing the Burnley game), so the extra days rest from playing on Wednesday might be very important.

Wolfsberger no less!

Someone in the social media team just got a bollocking
Could it be that this is the Austrian Wolfsberger and not the German Wolfsburg...

I have no idea what the Austrian version we’re playing are usually called

Have to say it, we are rather lucky with the draws these days.

League Cup: Stoke away in the QF and Ipswich who needed to forfeit. (Chavs exception)

FA Cup: Marine

Euro League: Rather easy group and now WAC while United and Woolwich got some serious tasks.

"Leyton Orient"
(Not having a pop just saying)
