No surprises in that list to be honest, they've all somewhat "coasted along". I believe that Spurs deserve higher caliber players if we are to compete for CL and eventually the PL

Should've cashed in on Lennon a few seasons ago. Never consistent enough and never really developed beyond a 'one trick pony'. And loved the party life too much.

I hate these generic lists.

I've heard no reports of us looking at strikers so don't believe Soldado is going anywhere. Capoue is unlikely to be leaving after making a good start for us then got injured.

I could believe the rest of the list but then that's sort of the point isn't it? Making up something that is believable isn't really journalism.

Four of that list are part of our home grown contingent. Another four on that list have only been with us for one season. It's fair to say I have a few doubts about the accuracy of the list.

Wasn't the whole point about Levy having his desired 'European' structure (with a Director of Football and a Head Coach) that we wouldn't have to experience significant changes in playing personnel just because we got a new coach?

If the article is to be believed (and maybe that's a big 'if'), then what is the point of Baldini (i.e. buy Capoue , Chadli, Chiriches & Soldado one season, sell them the next) and wouldn't that be evidence that Levy hasn't got a bloody clue what he's doing beyond the Profit & Loss account?

We'd be better off with the traditional structure, where the chairman appointed a manager to look after all footballing aspects of the club, from transfers down to training and playing tactics, and then showed some loyalty to said manager rather continually interfering, hiring the wrong people and subsequently stuck in rebuilding mode.

I really can only see Spurs advancing to their proper level - i.e. challenging Arsenal & Liverpool (ignoring the 'artificially enhanced' Chelsea & City) - on a consistent basis when we have a new owner and/or chairman.

I am sure there are more than 11 players we are open to offers on; I am also sure we will not be moving on anything like that number.

I can't see us letting so many homegrown players leave as that would mess up our quota overall (there was a good article on here last month about this). Getting the squad balance right is essential but after having so many players face 'first season syndrome' last year, why would we bet on more not having to deal with this same.

So you didn't read the ITK about looking at Remy then for example? Not that I disagree with you in principle of course. :D

One striker out of the many players various ITKs had us linked with hardly suggests we've been looking for a striker in general.

"Tottenham open to offers for 11 players" screams the headline. I'd say that at some point we were open to offers for each player in the squad, given what's happened before. Not for every player though, and if the list of possible departures has been whittled down to 11 then fair enough. I'm sure there are a fair few "one or the other" options in there, even supposing the headline has some truth in it, but I very much doubt Levy has suddenly decided he needs to sell 11 players in a desperate attempt to cut squad size.
