I'm gonna pick up the old England home kit today (£10 - snip! Ideal for a kickabout, ain't paying £40 for something I ain't actually too bothered about)

Question to my fellow Spurs fans...what name do you lot have on the back of your England shirts, if indeed you even have one???

The only solid likely starter we have at the moment is Defoe (9) so I'm guessing I'm gonna have to go with him. I was thinking about Dawson but couldn't hope to guess what number he would wear! Same story with Hudd. Crouch for me is not an option, and Lennon isn't exactly flavour of the month atm either, which is a shame.

Help...need ideas!

I'd go for...

WOODWARD

11

...but then again, I'm old school!

*The great Vivian Woodward was Tottenham Hotspur's very first England International in 1903.

He was a goalscoring machine who netted 73 times in 53 internationals for England & England Amateurs, including 8 in one game against France.

Woodward, a 'gentleman amateur' and an architect by profession was the greatest player in the world of his generation and captained the Great Britain football team to Olympic Games gold medals in 1908 & 1912.

I don't do England shirts.... But during the World Cup a load of my mates had

KING
20

Except for one who got his shirt before the squad numbers were announced and had #26.

If I was getting a shirt I'd probably just go for a number and not bother with the name.

King was an option, doubt he'll ever play for England again though, good job really with their record for crocking our boys lately!
