I only caught the second half but I must say I’m buzzing about the calm assured performances of our young players. GKN scored a good goal but I can’t see him breaking into the first team squad, too erratic - but he ran tirelessly for the team. Skipp must be the best prospect purely for being at this level aged 17. Eyoma didn’t have much to do but looked ok.

The odds are probably against him to make it at Spurs, but I really like Luke Amos. He looks to be one of those players who's decent at everything, with no real flaws in his game. It's easy to see why the Stevenage fans were glowing in their praise of him last season.

At the very least he should make it as a Premier League footballer imo.
play him instead of some overatted buy

Think might see a bit of Amo’s this year; composed, hard working and strong enough to handle PL. KWP’s still so lightweight...definitely want him to get more time but there was quite a few times today he got pushed off the ball that got calls from the ref - in PL they won’t be.

Our conditioning as a team (or our youngsters...) was so impressive through out this tourney over all, hope to see Amos more this year.

Ben Pearce on Twitter asked Poch about Luke Amos.

Pochettino on whether he could put Luke Amos in the squad at Newcastle: "In my fifth year, you think I'm going to be scared to play him? The young players that maybe still don't have experience in high competition, the compensation is desire and energy."

#thfc Pochettino: "He's not so young - 21 - but maybe he doesn't have Premier League experience. But his performances in the three games here showed it's not a problem to put him in to play. Maybe he's going to play ahead of some senior players. I'm more than brave."

Bodes well for Amos.

I hope we can get KWP a PL loan, he'll improve so much if he's playing every week. I think Fulham and Crystal Palace are looking for RB's and KWP would certainly be a good addition to either squad.

I really hope the 433 we’ve seen in pre-season is an indicator of Poch finally entertaining it as a format going forward.
I think we will be judging by the fact that we haven't been linked with a CM since an ITK said Dembele is staying and all links/ITK recently have been wide forwards.

If we did go 433, then wide forward and Kane back up are our most pressing concerns (and could be the same player), as our options would be:

--------------Kane
Son------------------------Lucas
-----Eriksen--------Alli
----------------Dier
Rose Verts Toby Trippier
----------------Lloris

--------------Llorente
GKN------------------------Lamela
-----Winks--------Dembele
-------------Wanyama
Davies Foyth Sanchez Aurier
----------------Vorm

Plus:
Sissoko
Janssen
Onomah
KWP
Gazzaniga
Georgiou
Amos
Skipp
Tanganga
Edwards?

Was at the game tonight. My impression is that all the players were tired and ready to get on the plane and go home. Oh well. I had an excuse to drink beer on a beautiful evening and be around about 20,000 other Spurs fans.

Just watched some highlights on YouTube and it looked like they had most of the chances but had a lot more senior players playing.

To win 1 nil is still a good achievement though and to stay unbeaten in the three games will give those involved a lot of confidence.

I found this quote interesting.

“My feeling now is on one side disappointed that some players got injured and I'm sad about that, but of course happy for many young players who stepped up and behaved very well on and off the pitch," Pochettino said.

Im taking it he means that they were very professional off the pitch and took everything seriously. That kind of thing is music to poch’s ears. Would explain why some are on the tour and others aren’t too.

Interestingly, I am thinking of Sissoko when I read this. He is shite, but he is very professional (at least in our shirt). Also, there is a reason why Mason and Winks could be the most established academy players in Poch's era. They are not merely good in football, but they are very professional on and off the pitch. Edwards and Griffiths, on the other hand, look very unprofessional at least off the pitch.

Just spotted that Lyon haven't even played a game yet. What a bizarre 'tournament'. Pleased with run outs stateside, although no idea what it all means for the season with such scratch sides out. Really pleased for our young lads.
Yeah you can never look at pre season results as a true measure due to different leagues starting at different times. Not to mention the fact that most teams this year are mainly youth / reserve squads due to the World Cup.

Always good to see our next group of academy players get positive results against big name teams though. Should hopefully make them feel like they’re part of the squad and can achieve things with us

Only watched 1st half but thought Eyoma was excellent just looked so composed. Amos as well has performed consistently over 3 games. Personally I’d now put him ahead of Onomah just for his energy and industry and think he’s a much more Pochettino type player. Deserves a shot at a bit part role this season. People may say Onomah has more potential but we’ve been saying that for 3 years. Amos has actually grabbed his chance and gone out and performed. When does loan out window shut is it 9th as well to English clubs ?

Saying that Milan had virtually their full senior squad. Had complete fresh legs for last 30 mins and still couldn’t score.
