I'd imagine it enabled us to get the deal over the line easier. Would be great to have him onboard straight away but at least we got it nailed down.

And for his development in the long run, he will benefit hugely from being a starter in the French league for one more year rather than getting the odd match with our B-side in cup games of lesser importance.

It´s a win for all parties; seller, buyer and player.
