Tottenham Hotspur have apparently told Davinson Sanchez, Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko that they would like to sell them, according to the Athletic.

When looking at the aforementioned three, it's not hard to think that we paid over the odds for all three given the returns footballing wise.

Had high hopes for Sanchez, Aurier if I recall, many were saying (maybe myself included) we'd pretty much replaced Walker for half the price.

As for Sissoko, I was on holiday when we signed him, I thought WTF at the time, especially given the fee.

He's worked hard in a Spurs shirt, put some good shifts in covering the all too vacant RB missing in action.

Aurier improved somewhat last season, but still to erratic in his decision making at times.

I'd not be adverse to seeing all three leave, providing funds are reinvested into the squad.

Of course wishing them all every success in the future were they indeed moving to pastures new.

much as I agree I think sissoko offers a lot off the pitch and in the dressing room. I feel he’s a popular guy amongst the players so will be missed from that point of view

I think of the three. We probably got what we paid for on all.

Aurier half as good Walker, half the price.
Sissoko for 30m at the start of that summer where the prices skyrocketed.
Sanchez, we effectively paid for the potential and whilst he's not a bad defender I think it's more that he's struggled to adapt to living in the UK.

Can't disagree with any of that.

I think Sanchez could really excel in Spain, France or Portugal.

It always struck me as very strange that we had wingbacks on both sides and a bunch of CBs who would be much more comfortable in a back 3 setup. Mourinho though, continually set up with a deep lying back 4 where any mistake was liable to get punished hard and fullbacks who were constantly caught out of position because of their style of play. Sanchez will do fine in any system that plays to his strengths as opposed to almost exclusively to his weaknesses.

Certainly had his best performances in a Spurs shirt within a back 3.
