If England had included Sol I would want Algeria to win against them.
I have found the England squad quite objectionable in recent years but the only true knobs are Terry, Gerrard,A.Cole and Ferdinand ( I quite like Lampard which might be controversial for a Spurs board).
If the Spurs Super Six go I could find myself wanting England to do well and I haven't done that in a while.

I'm astounded at the lack of patriotism here. If England win the World Cup, this country will go mental, it will stop, partying all week, my God it would be amazing. Now I "hate" this country as much as the next person, but not celebrating St Georges is forgiveable, but wanting Spurs to get to the group stage (not even the knockout stages!) more than your country being crowned the BEST IN THE WORLD, considering half our team each week are English, is plain stupid. Now I love my Spurs and it would be great to play the likes of Barca and Milan, but watching England in a major tournament doesn't compare. It brings everyone together, family, friends (non football fans), other football fans! Pubs are buzzing, everyone gets their flags out. Spurs may be my religion but England is my blood.

Spurs, no doubt.

I find international football quite boring compared to club football. I enjoy the world cup and european cup, but nowhere near as much as I enjoy premier league, champions league etc.

Find it hard to support England alot of the time.

Terry, Cole, Ferdinand, Gerrard etc...I find it very hard to support gimpholes like them and it clouds my support of 'my country'.

If there are 6 Spurs players in the final squad that'll make it easier but overall I think I'll be supporting Honduras.

So...to sum up...Spurs to win the World Cup.

No contest. I would want Englad to lose even if Spurs didnt make the group stage. Not all Spurs supporters are English.

This always confuses and surprises me.

Battered wife syndrome. They've had too many false dawns but unlike Spurs, they can pretend it doesn't exist. Or summat. /pop psych

Given the choice, as I said above, group stages. I want both to happen though. With every fibre of my being.

I guess this is the silly season alright....... then again if England did win with just say 6 Spurs players are those 6 players going to be so exhausted from the World Cup and the subsequent partying that they lack focus for the qualifiers.

Aside from that can we not have both...... better than seeing the Germans or French win...God forbid. Maybe it will come down to Defoe against Gomes in a penalty shoot out. ...... as long as Defoe doesn't come home as yet another English player that has missed the crucial penalty.

Not moaning.
Answered already.
Spurs for me.
But then, I don't follow an international team.
That's my concern.
But I wasn't the one launching into a patriotic tirade, as though there isn't an alternative.

I was born in England. I had zero choice in that.

I chose to support Spurs.

I find it laughable (actually genuinely laughable) that people on here will boo Ashley Cole, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and the rest of the ****s in the England set-up but forgive them for their sins (of being massive vaginal pockets) as soon as they wear an England shirt.

Well, it doesn't sit right with me and I could never ever support England if Sol Campbell was wearing an England shirt - which is ultimately what you would have to do.

I'll cheer for England but it doesn't even come close to the level of support I would give to the team that I chose.

I would like to bump this thread! As I said England always let you down. I'd rather have Spurs in the champions league!
