I was under the assumption that the glass was one way.

I.e. The punters can see the players, but not the other way round?

At least I hope it is that way, I'm not sure that if I was psyching myself up for a big match, I would want loads of suited bellends eating cheese gawking at me.
At Spurs it is.

The Spurs version is not the same as Man City's

Might actually be an advantage. Our team will get used to it but the opposition will have less chance to

I don't mind it, just pissed off they got theres done before us. Although I bet ours is better. Its definitely more exclusive

Trust me when I say we are doing it better... It's all about creating an atmosphere and intimidating the opposition.

Fascinating article on Man City's Tunnel club, which we're getting a replica of in the new stadium

I don't think we're getting a replica of that, it was our idea first AFAIK! It's something that you find in NFL stadiums and we decided to use it here.

'Replica' meaning the same thing. I didn't mean an exact replica, sorry, we will obviously change ours to suit our needs.

As the piece says, City went and studied the Dallas Cowboys a couple of years ago. City have also brought in elements of the F1 paddock. I think both clubs were likely investigating it separately. Just because we PR'd it as part of the new stadium sell doesn't mean City haven't been doing their own due diligence without anything to PR.

Generally, City are streets ahead of other English clubs with this stuff. They have had cameras in the tunnel for ages streaming on their website, something I really enjoy watching when we play there, they were the first to have Wi-Fi and they're always setting tech firsts at the stadium. So it doesn't surprise me they were first to market, as it were.

Obviously. All I said was that AFAIK we had the idea first so it's not a replica.

I think the issue is more that replica means copy of another rather than whether it's will be identical or different. In reality City copied us, making theirs the replica, they were just able to construct theirs first as it's I'd waiting on a stadium to put it in!

I think it's semantics. They're both replicas of a model established in the NFL, and it was a throwaway word that wasn't the focus of the post.

Regardless, the idea that City copied us is cute, although entirely irrelevant. I couldn't care less who was first, is more interesting what our new stadium will be getting.
