Before you know it people will be using this as proof that he isn't good enough, as he is playing with first years. He has one year left on his contract will be interesting to see what happens.

Maybe, we won't know but it's not different to people reading deep into other things in the forum. ITK player isn't rated by manager, he is due a new contract. Rightly believes he should be invovled in first team in some form and is allegedly stalling to see what happens, seeing as it appears he has regressed in his standing since he was 15, now he is playing with 16 year olds against Barnet u20s.

Like I said who knows but why don't he just play u21 matches, or train with the first team for fitness
I've seen lots of people say Windy is ITK, but is that actually true?

@windycoys on Twitter follows the youth set ups closely and attends a lot of our games across the spectrum.
He's been banging the drum for Velijkovic for over a year now and seems baffled as to why he's been left out in the cold.
Don't think he actually goes anywhere near as much as everybody implies.

Did anyone see the Rangers game last night ? Was it on any of the main channels ?

How did Oduwa and Ball do ?

Oduwa reminds me a bit of Bolasie in terms of the problems he causes for the opposition- and he's also really quick and strong like him- and they are both extremely skilful.

Thankfully, Oduwa is 19, and showed in the pre-season friendlies that, unlike Bolasie, he may have good end product and he's obviously 7 years younger.

I know people will look at 'Oduwa' and 'Bolasie' and think I'm crazy/wrong, but it's undeniable that Bolasie does cause problems for the opposition, and IMO there are definitely similarities- but in a good way!

Edit- Windy agrees. I'd never seen these tweets before and only searched 'Oduwa Bolasie' into Twitter after I wrote this post.

@SDSpurs Oduwa? He's more like a Bolasie type. He's always reminded me a bit of Kanu.

@MarcSpurs @pokeefe1 @HamidTHFC @benfranksthfc @SpursShout Oduwa could be our own Bolasie with a bit of faith and patience.

If Veljkovic leaves or becomes disillusioned with the club, it's all down to Poch.

Still not convinced he is anything but a sham. Find it ridiculous that he hasn't tried him and doesn't rate him when the team he picks is full of shit.

Where there is smoke there is fire and it doesn't look good for Milos and I have a feeling if he leaves we will be made to look like idiots. Ugh.

Can people stop regurgitating it as fact that Poch doesn't rate veljkovic? We don't know this. Windy said in a youth update on his site that it seemed he didn't rate him and it was a shame - a conclusion drawn from his lack of involvement in pre season. Yet this has been taken as ITK that he has had a sit down with the coaches and they've told him poch doesn't rate him, exactly why he doesn't rate him and that he's not going to get a chance. If he's good enough no way would we cut him loose without giving him a proper go. If it is indeed an issue over his intensity in a game, then do you honestly think we'd just sell him as opposed to trying to coach it into his game, When poch has been lauded for his coaching ability, which we've seen in the development of the likes of Mason, Kane and rose? There could be a multitude of reasons for his lack of involvement or lack of loan. we might want to loan him so he can develop physically, it might be delayed until he signs a contract extension, he might be viewed as a cb not a DM and we already have 5 senior Cbs, hence no involvement yet. The simple answer is we don't know.

Perhaps he's struggling for fitness, and actually this is a good thing.

It's like everyone can't wait to jump to some kind of negative conclusion. I had hoped we wouldn't be so quick to find negatives here, seeing as we appear to be pros in every other department.
Could be a mental/physical hangover from winning WC. Don't underestimate what that might do to a youngun and he may need to come off his high still

His views are often that often of the coaches so imo yes

This year I agree but prior to year he was going a lot just look at his blog

I'm not sure I quite understand the first part. One, sharing an opinion doesn't constitute knowledge coming from within, and two, how do we even know he shares opinions with the coaches?

I'm not saying he never goes, but I don't think he goes as much or is as informed as people make him out to be. Not trying to be a downer on him, like his blog, but it's nothing in comparison to this thread.

yep, i think he mainly goes to the youth cup games and the odd reserve games and otherwise just reads the reports like everyone else.... people like @IGSpur and @TottenhamLegend probably have more of a first hand look at the kids, so i look for their opinion more

Windy has very good indepth knowledge but his personal opinions / player judgements are questionable to say the least. Its scary that so many people take his opinions as fact.

I've not been able to quite quite so much recently, as I've started playing football myself on Saturday mornings (when most U18 games are), but get down whenever I can (y)

did you see this comment? - http://windycoys.com/2015/07/mls-all-stars-2-1-spurs-some-thoughts/#comment-460222

but even without windy's info, it's easy to conclude that poch isn't high on veljkovic for whatever reason considering he didn't take part in 1st team games or training whilst many other youth teamers did.

In what sense? As long as you have contacts within the club or someone informing you that makes you ITK right? I'm pretty sure he does have some contacts from within the club, in a similar way that I do I assume

Don't think he actually goes anywhere near as much as everybody implies.

I don't know who implies he goes a lot but I get what you mean, it may be implied as his opinion on youth is held in high esteem. I most likely watched more games than him last year and I'm pretty sure there are a few members on here who go more than me, but as your post was in response to his opinion to Veljkvoic, I don't doubt that Windy has seen him play a lot since he has joined the club whether it's streams or attending matches. And I'm pretty sure he used to attend a lot of matches previously and seen him, and I very much, as you can imagine agree with his opinion. I know a lot of the coaches rate him highly.

For most people his opinion on the youth is very useful, especially on twitter as he will be the main go to go guy through longevity, as the average fan will not see them much. But as you say this thread for me is 2nd to none in information on youth and has many posters as knowledgeable or informed on the youth as him. Two relatively new posters in @edson and @ralphs bald spot I think watch more games than anyone here, so there's no need to go elsewhere.

Windy has very good indepth knowledge but his personal opinions / player judgements are questionable to say the least. Its scary that so many people take his opinions as fact.

I know we've had this discussion on him before. I think what happens is because he knows a lot about the youth on twitter, he is a useful tool and built up a large following because of it, and has become an almost cult figure on twitter. Not his fault and I've DM'd him on twitter and he is very humble guy. He also posts interesting blogs about tactics and the like, and due to his following people assume he knows more than the average person, I'm sure he will admit he doesn't but then whatever he says gets posted as gospel and people use his opinion to support their own as sometimes evidence that they're right. He must get so frustrated I've seen people ask him stuff like 'How good do you think Chadli is?' I mean do people not watch the games themselves.
