If Liverpool don't beat West Brom on Sunday and we beat Man Utd on Monday then 1st place is ours.

Will be interesting to see what the team is when all the loans come back

Huge squad to choose from next season, unless some players move on.

If I take the current Professional group and add the Academy Year 2 players who are given Professional contracts (IMO 6 or 7 will not be ), this is the squad :

Goalkeepers (3) : Jordan Archer, Jonthan Miles, Lawrence Vigouroux

Defenders (8) : Adam Smith (RB) (as an over age player), Grant Hall (CB) (as an over age player), Kevin Stewart (CB/RB/LB), Jack Barthram (RB), Zeki Fryers (LB/CB), Nathan Byrne (RB/utility), Alex McQueen (RB/CB/RM), Grant Ward (RB/RW),

Midfield (16) : Giancarlo Galifucco, John Bostock, Dean Parrett (both as an over age player) , Thomas Carroll, iago Falque (as an over age player), Ryan Mason (as an over age player) , Cristian Ceballos, Alex Pritchard, Jack Munns, Roman Michael-Percil (RW/RB), Dominic Ball (CM/CB), Laste Dombaxe (CM), Nabil Bentelab (CM), Ruben Lameiras, Kenneth McEvoy (and Andros Townsend, as an over age player if not involved with first team squad)

Forwards (5) : Souleymane Coulibally, Jonathan Obika, Shaq Coulthirst, Tomislav Gomelt (and Harry Kane if not involved with first team)

Injured : Jake Nicholson, Carmeron Lancaster

A few players who might be in the first team squad of course, but even without those it will be a big squad - although many will be loaned out next season

Best team from that lot IMO:

Archer
Smith Hall Fryers Barthram
Bentaleb Pritchard Mason
McEvoy Coulthirst Ceballos
Seriously good team that, in particular the midfield.

Not put Carroll in as I feel he will be used more in the first team squad next year.

Paul Hirst @HirstClass
Miloš Veljković, Shaquile Coulthirst and Cristian Ceballos have all travelled with the #Spurs squad.

Doubt that Veljkovic will get into the squad, but it will be a good experience for him nonetheless.

I would expect everyone in that post except possibly Barthram to go out on loan tbh at some point in the season with Mason leaving permanently:( as well

When it comes to 'our youth players not getting a chance under AVB' I think we need to remember three things.

1. This AVB's first season. Unlike Redknapp and especially Ferguson, you have to allow AVB time to first of all get to know the first team, give them a chance. Get to know the youth team, players and staff, see the youth players for himself and connect with the staff and work out whose opinions are the most accurate. Then you can start working out who can do what, who is ready for the first team.

2. AVB takes the Europa League seriously - Harry did not and therefore played more youth players (we still should have made it through the group last year)

3. We have a lot of central/attacking midfielders in the first team, and a lot in the youth teams. Naturally this cuts down the opportunities and likelihood of a youth player appearing for the first time.

I think AVB's second and third seasons will provide better evidence to judge him on in terms of promoting youth (although personally I feel Carroll and Townsend should have played more, and Gallas should not be picked ahead of Caulker)

Why wouldn't he be? All U21 players are
I think there is a 2 year rule or something like that, as last season falque iirc had to be registered as a first team player despite being U21

Milos vejkovic is probably going as a neutral fan. Although he is Serbian I believe he was born and grew up around Basel

I seem to recall he was on Basle's books as a schoolboy, so just along for the ride could be the case. He only joined us at the start of last season, so I doubt he has two years in yet. Ceballos and Bentelab were added to the A list in January but I don't think Milos was.

I just checked the UEFA squad list and he's not on the A or B list. Presumably just there to train with the team/go home and visit family.
