In my opinion no one from our defence in the U21's is ready to make the step up as fringe to first team and disagree with alot of people when they list Fryers in their first team for thursday

Our u21s score plenty of goals don't they! 6-3 is very impressive. Hope we actually win it this year. Nice to see Sandro get some more game time too.

We had the moral victory last year imo. Took both leagues by storm, won them by a country-mile, then lost in a winner takes all final played against Utd, played at OT for some reason. The league shows where the quality lies, but any team can win in a single match, especially if it's played at home.

And even in that final we were the better team by a comfortable distance, went 2-0 up and they'd barely escaped their own half. A dodgy patch in the 2nd half shouldn't disguise that we were by far the best team in that competition.

Carroll and Townsend stand out players, Kane took his goals well. Sandro played for 70 mins still looks well short of first team fitness. fryers was ordinary at left back.
Adebayor watched most of match spent virtually all the time on his phone, no wonder he needs big wages!

not if we want to win the Europa league!.. & were bookies favourites right now.
In the early stages you can be better playing young hungry teams who wil give it their all, rather than seasoned first teamers who are subconsciously saving themselves for Sunday.

We won it last year, don't let the 'Bonus United trophy played at Old Trafford' cup fool you. We won the league. In no other league in the country do the top two play-off when one has more points.

I don't think they will play in the away leg, but hopefully if we have a comfortable lead to take the Lane Townsend and Carroll will play, maybe Kane too.

No you dont as they coast through look at our incredibly young team under harry in the group stages and last years first team and there wasnt that much difference between the results. The younger players are older and much better now with most of them at premier league/la liga level.

We need hungry players that want to prove a point not players that think these teams are below them and they need to turn up and run around for 90mins

redknapp thought the tournament was below us.. he didn't want to be there & that attitude was passed on to everyone including the support to which a vast amount thought the competition is below us?.
i'm certain avb wanted to win it last season & hopefully with a better squad this season including some of the younger players
the hunger you quote will show.

Im not saying have a team full of U21's just the second 11 with the likes of Kane, Townsend, Carroll and Falque playing a part who I dont think anyone considers youth players anymore
